A DAY IN THE LIFE

As the Head of Reward, no two days will be exactly alike, but you can expect a stimulating mix of strategic thinking, analytical work, and collaborative engagement. Your mornings might start by reviewing global compensation trends and market data, identifying potential impacts on our reward philosophy. You could then transition to a brainstorming session with HR Business Partners, discussing how to tailor reward initiatives to specific business unit needs, or perhaps deep-diving into the design of a new sales incentive plan.

The afternoon might involve presenting your recommendations to senior leadership, clearly articulating the rationale and anticipated outcomes of your proposals. You'll spend time mentoring your team, fostering their development, and ensuring they have the resources to excel. Later, you might collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance and financial viability of reward programs. Your day will be punctuated by continuous learning and adapting to the evolving landscape of work, always striving to ensure L'Oréal remains an employer of choice.

YOU WILL

  • Develop and Implement Reward Strategy: Design, develop, and implement a holistic and competitive total reward strategy (compensation, benefits, recognition, well-being) that aligns with L'Oréal's business objectives, values, and talent strategy.
  • Lead Compensation Management: Oversee the annual compensation review process, including salary benchmarking, budget allocation, merit increases, bonus plans, and long-term incentives. Ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Drive Performance & Recognition: Partner with HR and business leaders to develop and implement effective performance management frameworks and recognition programs that drive a high-performance culture and acknowledge employee contributions.
  • Ensure Compliance & Governance: Stay abreast of global and local compensation and benefits regulations, trends, and best practices. Ensure all reward programs are compliant and governed effectively.
  • Conduct Market Analysis & Benchmarking: Lead robust market analysis and benchmarking studies to ensure L'Oréal's reward offerings remain competitive in attracting and retaining top talent across diverse markets.
  • Educate & Communicate: Develop and deliver clear, engaging communications about reward programs to employees and leaders, ensuring transparency and understanding.
  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of reward professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Partner Strategically: Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to integrate reward strategies with broader HR and business initiatives.
  • Drive Innovation: Continuously explore and recommend innovative reward solutions, technologies, and practices that enhance employee experience and support business growth.

WHO YOU ARE

  • An Experienced Leader: Significant experiience in Compensation & Benefits, with expereince in a leadership role within a complex, multinational organisation.
  • A Strategic Thinker: You possess the proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive total reward strategies that support business objectives and attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
  • A Technical Expert: You have in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, market pricing, salary structures, incentive design, and executive compensation. You also hold a strong understanding of various employee benefits programs (health, retirement, wellness).
  • An Analytical Mind: You demonstrate exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable reward strategies and recommendations.
  • A Global Citizen: You have experience managing reward programs across multiple geographies and a solid understanding of international compensation and benefits practices and regulations.
  • A Clear Communicator & Influencer: You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • A Collaborative Partner: You are adept at building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • A Developer of Talent: You have proven leadership experience, including building, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.
  • An Effective Project Manager: You exhibit strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex reward initiatives from conception to implementation.
  • Adaptable & Resilient: You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt seamlessly to changing business needs.
