And currently, we are searching for one the most exciting ones – Head of Media. Reporting directly to the Country CDMO, you’ll become powerhouse of L'Oréal CZ/HU/SK – orchestrating investments across our 4 divisions to turn every media touchpoint into a growth engine.
A day in life
As Head of Media, you are the strategist of the full media orchestra. You define, govern, and activate a bold, locally-relevant media strategy - ensuring every euro of media investment is purposeful, data-driven, and future-proof. You set the frame, you own the vision, and you make it happen - from full-funnel brand building to transactional performance, from retail media to emerging technology frontiers.
You bridge the gap between global ambition and local market reality, empowering brand and divisional teams, challenging the status quo, and fostering a media community that operates as one - transparent, accountable, and always ahead of the curve.
MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Media Strategy & Governance
- Define and drive the HUB's media strategy across all divisions, adapting global frameworks for local markets.
- Translate business objectives into a full-funnel media roadmap.
- Develop a strategic roadmap for key media partners and lead local Joint Business Partnerships (JBPs).
- Onboard and negotiate contracts with selected media partners and vendors, ensuring high-quality service.
- Serve as the main media consultant for brand GMs, divisional CDOs, and commercial leadership.
Digital Media, Full Funnel Performance & Retail Media
- Oversee strategic media planning, buying, and optimization across all channels for maximum effectiveness.
- Continuously monitor media performance, using data to optimize ROAS, ROI, and other key metrics.
- Lead market analysis on competitor investments, media mix, and creative best practices.
- Define and govern the lower-funnel media vision, including Search, Social, and Retail Media Networks.
- Champion the Retail Media strategy, co-creating plans with divisions to drive growth on key platforms.
- Drive the Green Media Agenda by embedding sustainability into media planning and buying.
Media Tech, Data & Measurement
- Govern the ad-tech infrastructure and harmonize media processes to drive "One L'Oréal" standards.
- Champion first-party data acquisition and activation strategies in media, sharing learnings across divisions.
- Lead the second-party Retail Media data strategy and govern 'Fair Value' assessments using data clean rooms.
- Define and drive the HUB's measurement and effectiveness program (e.g., MMMs) to deliver actionable insights.
People Leadership & Media Acculturation
- Own and execute the media upskilling and acculturation roadmap for marketing teams.
- Ensure your team and agency partners are future-fit, mastering emerging media technologies like GenAI and Retail Media.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Degree in Marketing, Media, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of media experience with a background in senior leadership (e.g., Media Director).
- Expertise in full-funnel media planning, buying, performance, and programmatic.
- Proven success in leading high-performing media teams.
- Deep knowledge of the media-tech ecosystem (ad-tech, DSPs, clean rooms).
- Solid understanding of data governance, GDPR, and ethical media practices.
- Professional English required; local languages are a plus.
- Highly analytical and a strong communicator with a passion for media innovation.
