We have an opportunity for the position of Analytics Lead – Commercial. This position is responsible for to define and align analytics vision, manage execution of data initiatives, lead data talents, drive analytics maturity and ensure the business is powered by data solution. He/She will also facilitate analytics use-cases generation, lead selection and prioritization and oversee validation process. The position serves as an advisor to the leadership team.
The location of the job will be Mumbai and prior experience in leadership position in data organisation is mandatory.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Experienced in developing D&A product vision, strategy, and roadmap for commercial analytics products, aligned with overall commercial/ business objectives
- Collaborate closely with leadership, sales operations, marketing, and finance teams to gather and prioritize business requirements for analytical tools and reports
- Lead UAT efforts to ensure developed solutions meet business requirements and user expectations.
- Strong exposure to Pricing and promotion analysis, Develop and maintain promotion (Online /Offline) analytics AI/ML solution, experienced in developing predictive analytics to optimize promotional spend and maximize ROI.
- Analyze online promotion performance, conduct in-depth analysis of online promotion data to understand the effectiveness of different promotional strategies, channels, and targeting methods
- Forecasting and predictive modelling: Develop and maintain sales forecasts using statistical modelling techniques. Utilize predictive analytics to anticipate future market trends and optimize inventory management. Customer segmentation and targeting
- Data governance and quality control: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data. Implement data governance processes and best practices to maintain data quality.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Work closely with e-commerce, marketing, and other relevant teams to develop and implement D&A Solutions.
- Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization - including business unit leaders, IT, and other functional areas. Effectively communicate the value of data and analytics and ensure alignment on strategic priorities. Drive and Monitor the usage and effectiveness of analytics products.
- Proactively identify and address resistance to change. Develop strategies to overcome objections and build support for data & analytics initiatives. Foster a data-driven culture within the organization by promoting the value of data & analytics and encouraging employees to embrace new ways of working.
Profile & Experience:
- Masters in management - Data Sciences, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- 9-12 years of experience in D&A, commercial and analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in statistical modelling and data mining techniques, Python Programming
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g Power BI).
- Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, macros, and VBA).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the beauty or consumer goods industry is a plus.
