A Day in the Life

As an Advocacy & Influence Manager for Garnier & Mixa within our Consumer Products Division, you will report to the Brand Business Leader and be the strategic force responsible for architecting and executing a comprehensive strategy across paid and unpaid advocacy, owned social media, and social commerce. You will be instrumental in building a vibrant community of creators, amplifying the brand’s message to a wider audience, and driving deep, organic engagement. Your key responsibilities will be centered on:

  • Owned Social Media Strategy:
    • Develop and implement the communication strategy for all local social media platforms, defining KPIs in collaboration with brand and digital teams.
    • Manage the social media budget to optimize content amplification and oversee community management to cultivate brand loyalty and engagement.
    • Coordinate content creation and adaptation, ensuring all assets align perfectly with brand guidelines while monitoring performance through platform dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Paid & Unpaid Advocacy Activation:
    • Build the strategic advocacy framework, including defining the influencer pyramid for each brand and category to achieve key performance indicators (Share of Influence, SOV, SOE).
    • Take full ownership of the advocacy budget, ensuring a strategic split between paid and unpaid initiatives, and meticulously track all activities and budgets in tools like Traackr.
    • Identify, select, and foster strong relationships with a diverse range of creators, key opinion leaders, and consumers, ensuring a strong value match with our brands.
    • Develop and execute impactful unpaid advocacy actions, including PR relations, brand events, product seedings, and user-generated content (UGC) campaigns to drive organic reach.
    • Lead paid advocacy by negotiating campaigns, briefing creators for high-quality paid content, and coordinating amplification strategies with the media agency and product managers.
  • Social Commerce Leadership:
    • Drive all social commerce activations, from live shopping events to advocacy-led initiatives with our e-retail partners.
    • You will collaborate closely with the wider digital team to build and scale social commerce actions, tracking performance from link clicks and CTR through to conversion and sales.
  • Performance, Compliance & Reporting:
    • Rigorously monitor, analyze, and report on all advocacy KPIs (monthly and annually), proposing corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
    • Ensure full compliance for all collaborations, including contract management, IP rights, and accurate documentation in internal systems (Traackr, Compass).

  • You have proven experience in an advocacy or social media role, with a strong track record of managing large-scale campaigns, ideally within the beauty or FMCG industry.
  • You possess exceptional project management skills, with the ability to flawlessly orchestrate multiple complex projects simultaneously, from massvocacy campaigns and local shootings to high-profile events.
  • You have a strong analytical mindset, comfortable using data and KPIs (Share of Influence, engagement, conversion) to measure performance, derive insights, and optimize strategies for maximum ROI.
  • You bring a creative vision and a keen eye for emerging trends, capable of generating innovative ideas for content and collaborations that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • You are a natural relationship-builder with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to build and maintain authentic connections with creators, agencies, and internal teams.
