As a Packaging Lab Engineer for North Asia, you are the technical guardian of product integrity. You will stand at the intersection of science and beauty, leveraging laboratory expertise and digital innovation (AI) to ensure the perfect synergy between our formulas and packaging. Your mission is to guarantee the highest safety and quality standards for our consumers across the North Asia region.

🌟 KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Strategic Test Planning: Lead the design and construction of robust compatibility test plans by analyzing complex chemical interactions between formulas and packaging materials, ensuring alignment with R&I and Development objectives.
• Technical Consulting & Risk Management: Provide expert-level technical support through risk analysis, extrapolation, and scientific studies to predict and prevent potential formula-packaging failures.
• Digital Transformation (AI Integration): Champion the use of AI tools and data analytics to streamline laboratory workflows, interpret large-scale datasets, and generate actionable insights that accelerate the product development cycle.
• Quality Excellence & Problem Solving: Drive root-cause analysis for product non-conformity, defects, or customer complaints. Proactively develop and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to ensure continuous improvement.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Act as the key compatibility liaison between Development, Packaging, R&I for project base, and with Compat Lab of other zones for expertise sharing.
• Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all lab operations and documentation strictly adhere to internal quality standards, and 5S management principles.

🎓 SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Professional & Technical Competencies:

• Academic Excellence: Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Packaging Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• Industry Expertise: 2+ years of professional experience in an FMCG environment, specifically focused on packaging development, validation, or laboratory testing.
• AI & Data Fluency: Proficiency in leveraging AI tools (e.g., L'OréalGPT or similar) for data processing and decision-making. Ability to transform complex data into strategic technical insights.
• Technical Curiosity: A strong passion for packaging conception, material science, and the evolving landscape of cosmetic technology.
• Operational Excellence: Familiarity with QEHS management systems and 5S methodology is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
• Language: Native-level Mandarin and Fluent English (both written and verbal) are required for regional and global collaboration.
