The Lead Business Analyst / Functional Architect plays a critical role within L'Oréal AMER IT's OMS Product Team, shaping the future of our Order Management System (OMS) within a complex and evolving omnichannel landscape. This role requires a deep understanding of order management and fulfillment processes, coupled with a strong technical aptitude and a vision for how technology can drive business growth. This individual will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, defining the functional architecture of the OMS platform to support diverse sales channels, including D2C, B2smallB, and more. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence strategic decisions and drive successful implementations.
What you will do:
- Functional Architecture Design: Define and evolve the functional architecture of the OMS platform, ensuring it can support current and future business needs across multiple sales channels (D2C, B2smallB, Retail, etc.).
- Solution Design & Roadmap: Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical architects to design comprehensive OMS solutions and develop a strategic roadmap for future enhancements.
- Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across different business units and sales channels, analyzing complex business needs and translating them into clear and concise functional specifications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various IT teams (development, QA, infrastructure) and business teams (sales, marketing, supply chain) to ensure alignment and successful implementation of OMS solutions.
- System Integrations: Define integration requirements between the OMS platform and other critical systems (SFCC, ERP, CRM, WMS, PIM, etc.), ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize order management and fulfillment processes across different sales channels, leveraging technology to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other business analysts and functional leads within the OMS Product Team.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with OMS vendors on solution design, implementation, and ongoing support.
- Innovation & Research: Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies in the OMS space, identifying opportunities to leverage new solutions and enhance L'Oréal's omnichannel capabilities.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Lead, or Solution Architect, with a strong focus on Order Management Systems (OMS).
- Proven experience designing and implementing OMS solutions in a complex, multi-channel environment (D2C, B2B, Retail).
- Deep understanding of order fulfillment processes, including order orchestration, inventory management, shipping, and returns.
- Experience with leading OMS platforms (e.g., Fluent Commerce, IBM Sterling OMS) is strongly preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data structures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Experience in a retail or e-commerce environment is a plus.
- Experience with SQL and data analysis is a plus.
