Your mission...
As the Nordic External Communications Manager you are responsible for overseeing the implementation of external communication strategies. The duties include content creation and managing external communication channels like social media platforms, corporate websites, managing and executing external media events and building our media relations across Nordics. In this role you will manage the Nordic communications strategy and execution for a wide array of corporate communication topics across the Nordics and support the divisions and brands. The Nordic External Communications Manager reports to the Nordic Corporate Affairs & Engagement Director.
You will…
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists across the Nordic countries to continuously position L’Oréal on key company topics.
- Build and implement an ambitious 360° external communication strategy in line with the business strategy and Group Communication strategy.
- Manage external communication and the development of engaging content around our company; who we are and what we stand for, as well as our important corporate programs related to CSR, Philanthropy, DE&I, Innovation and Sustainability.
- Draft press releases and speeches for the Managing Director of L’Oréal Nordic.
- Develop and manage content on corporate external channels (social media and websites).
- Assist internal spokespeople with communication guidance when engaged in external communication.
- Collaborate with functional teams and brand divisions to identify stories and messages to be communicated externally.
- Coordinate and be responsible for the relationship with communication agencies.
- Maintain and develop on- and offline media monitoring and reporting.
- Drive reputation management and regular media training internally for relevant functions and brand teams.
Your profile…
- You have around 4-5 years of proven working experience in public relations and corporate communication, preferably within FMCG or equivalent industry. Alternatively, you have a background from a communication agency.
- Experience of working in a fast paced and multidimensional environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Established relationship with media and journalists across the Nordic countries.
- Strong knowledge of social media, content creation and activation in paid, owned and earned channels.
- Experience as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in interviews and public presentations.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills in English and a Nordic language.
- BA/MA degree in Communications or a related discipline is seen as an advantage.
