We have a suitable opportunity in L'Oréal India Supply Chain for the position of Manager – Transport. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of reverse logistics. You will be responsible of improving reverse logistics processes, dealing with 3PL partners, and managing reverse logistics SLAs. Your key skills will include, but not limited to, stakeholder management, negotiation, problem solving. 

You should have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience with at least 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain in functions related to Inventory Management, Reverse Logistics, warehouse management and/or logistics. The location of the job will be at the L’Oreal India Head Office at Mumbai. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and improving overall operational and departmental efficiencies around reverse logistics
• Interfacing cross-functionally at all levels within the divisions of the company, for example Customer Support, third party logistics providers and fulfilment Centre etc.
• Timely inspection of Returns and liability assignment and follow ups with Transport partners, Insurance Agencies, Distributors etc.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations of managing Returns within SLA
• Managing up to date inventory, salvaging returns
• Developing and ensuring that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed
• Driving costs savings with a focus on Visibility, Variability and Velocity
• Providing proactive communications and solutions for distribution issues.

Key Deliverables:

• Understanding of Import & Domestic Transport market including but not limited to compliance aspects of transport 
• Knowledge of detailed freight rates, terms, and services to optimize cost and service levels
• Running RFI & RFQ/RFP for Freight Forwarders, CHAs 
• Working knowledge of Contracts (Terms & Conditions of a transport contract) &Transport KPIs  
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements. Prepare and submit customs documentation, including import declarations and clearance forms (knowledge of Custom Special Programs and benefits (FTA, SVB, RoDTEP Scheme)
• Hands of experience of preparing budget
• Excellent analytical & excel skills
• Firsthand experience in Vendor Management
• Drive Import & domestic transport requirements single handedly
• Collaboration with all parties (Freight forwarders, CHAs, Planning, Warehouse / Factory Operations team, Customer Service, Sales) to ensure delivery of plan and visibility to all stake holders
• Should possess good Analytical & Negotiation Skills. Should have complete knowledge of Contract finalization with all vendors/partners
• Liaising with internal & external stakeholders
• 5+ Years of experience in managing Import-Export / Domestic Transportation

• Internally – various functions like Supply & Distribution Planning teams of different business divisions (Consumer, Professional & Luxury Product divisions), Factory & Warehouse Operation Team, Customer Service teams, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, Auditors, Legal, Accounts & Finance teams
• Externally – 3PL / DC, Transport Vendors, Consumable Suppliers
