With 4,000 talented scientists and tech experts globally, we are accelerating our transformation. The India Data Center of Excellence (CoE) is a cornerstone of this vision. It is a unique, high-impact global asset designed to leverage India’s world-class data ecosystem to solve the most complex scientific challenges for L’Oréal worldwide.
The Role
As the Lead of the Data CoE, you will be a visionary leader bridging the gap between advanced data science and scientific innovation. You will lead a world-wide mandate, ensuring that India serves as the global hub for R&I Data & Analytics, driving operational excellence and breakthrough innovation for all R&I domains.
Key Responsibilties:-
1. Global CoE Leadership & Strategic Delivery
- Orchestrate the WW R&I DataCoE: Lead the strategic roadmap for the India-basedCoE, managing high-performing vendor partners and cross-functional teams across all R&I data domains globally.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure theCoEadheres to world-classdeliveryKPIs, including Data Pipeline integrity, resourceutilization, and rigorous quality and cost metrics.
- Innovation Engine: Spearhead the development of Automation, AI/ML models, and Optimization use cases that have a direct impact on L'Oréal’sresearch team’sportfolio.
2. Advanced Analytics & Decision Science
- Empower Emerging Markets (EM): Provide strategic leadership for Data & Analytics across EM hubs (LATAM, SAPMENA, SSA), acting as the subject matter expert on visualization methods, experimental study designs, and predictive modeling.
- Data-Driven Innovation:Identifyand scale opportunities for data-based decision-making, ensuring R&I teams worldwideleveragethe best-in-class analytics to accelerate speed-to-market.
3. Ecosystem & Tech Integration
- India Digital Pioneer: Deeply immerse in the India digital and startup ecosystem toidentifyand integrate disruptive technologies into the L'Oréal R&I framework.
- Global Strategy Alignment: Work in lockstep with the Global Beauty Tech and Chief Data Analytics Officer (CDAO) teams to implement the global data strategy (e.g., One Data Portal) while adapting tools for regional needs.
- Complex Problem Solving: Resolve "wicked" data problems arising from new research methodologies, proactively designing the data architectures of the future.
