Job Title: Group Product Manager– Aesop- Luxe Division

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

JOB SUMMARY 
 This pivotal role is central to driving Aesop’s product strategy, successfully launching innovative products, and maximizing brand value within the Korean market. As a Group Product Manager, you will lead the evolution of the Product Management role during Aesop's exciting journey with the L'Oréal Group. We are looking for a passionate and creative leader who can spearhead new PM initiatives and guide the team to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role requires a visionary team player who creates synergy through collaboration—someone who can balance strategic product oversight with the soulful, high-touch execution that Aesop is known for. A consistent and dedicated career history as a Product Manager within L'Oréal, demonstrating a deep understanding of our group's values and established processes, is highly preferred for this crucial role.

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

A. Product Strategy & Management Leadership

  • Strategic Portfolio Management:
    • Develop and oversee the annual and long-term product portfolio strategy, leveraging market trends, competitor movements, and deep consumer insights.
    • Pro-actively identify opportunities for existing product optimization and groundbreaking new launches, defining clear roadmaps based on strategic thinking.

 

  • Pricing & Demand Forecasting Leadership:
    • Lead the annual and new product pricing strategy, ensuring price positioning reflects both brand prestige and market competitiveness.
    • Direct the demand forecasting process for new and key products, coordinating closely with Supply Chain and Finance to ensure optimal stock availability and business continuity.
    • Apply expertise in 'Product and service pricing' to maximize profitability while maintaining Aesop's unique value proposition.

 

  • Launch Excellence & Operations:
    • Lead the end-to-end planning process: from meticulous new product forecasting and pricing strategies to Regulatory Affairs (RA) alignment and inventory management.
    • Ensure the successful execution of launch plans through close cooperation with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Supply Chain, and Global/Zone stakeholders.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization:
    • Continuously analyze sales data and market response to evaluate performance, utilizing 'Data-driven decision-making' to identify growth white spaces.
    • Devise flexible improvement plans to optimize the product lifecycle, ensuring both brand prestige and commercial health.

 

B. Customer Marketing & Brand Engagement

  • Creative Campaign Execution:
    • Plan and manage the annual/monthly customer marketing calendar, ensuring all activities are localized with an 'Aesop-esque' touch while aligning with global strategy.
    • Lead the development of local campaign strategies, overseeing retail copy review, visual materials, and social media trend activations to ensure effective brand exposure.
  • High-Touch Customer Experience & In-store Activity:
    • Design and execute passionate customer engagement events, such as skincare/fragrance workshops and experiential in-store gestures, to deepen the brand connection.
    • Focus on elevating the in-store customer journey, ensuring every physical touchpoint reflects the brand's unique philosophy.
  • CRM-Driven Insights:
    • Carefully analyze CRM data to understand customer behavior and refine marketing activities, ensuring a personalized and meaningful approach to customer relations.
    • Collaborate with the CRM team to identify key trends and opportunities, incorporating these insights directly into the product and marketing strategy.
  • Strategic Reporting:
    • Prepare insightful reports for the Head of Marketing and Global teams, translating campaign results and market research into actionable business strategies.

 

C. Leadership & Synergy

  • Mentorship & Team Growth:
    • Provide dedicated guidance to team members, supporting their professional development and fostering a positive, high-energy environment through effective 'Energy and stress management'.
    • Lead by example as a true team player, ensuring the team navigates the L'Oréal ecosystem with confidence and clarity.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Foster seamless communication with DMI, Sales, Retail, and Digital teams to generate 360-degree synergy in all product and marketing initiatives.



WHO YOU ARE:

  • Education : University graduate
  • Year of Experience : 7-8+ years
  • Experience:
    • 7-8+ years of experience in Marketing or Product Management (Beauty/Cosmetics industry experience preferred).

    • Proven track record in leading Pricing and Demand Forecasting strategies for complex portfolios.

    • Extensive experience in product lifecycle management and successful new product launches.

    • Passionate about Customer Marketing, with experience in creating impactful in-store activities and managing external agencies.

    • Strategic problem-solving skills based on a pro-active and flexible mindset.

    • Strong capabilities in market analysis, competitor analysis, and consumer insight generation. Data-driven decision-making ability and analytical thinking.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills as a team player working with diverse departments and stakeholders.

  • Language: Proficiency in Korean & English communication (for report writing and communication with global headquarters)
  • Other Skills: Proficient with Excel,PPT
