Job Title: CMI Data Analyst (1-Year Contract)

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Support business growth by providing deep-dive analysis of consumer data and market dynamics. As a CMI Data Analyst, synthesize complex datasets including consumer panel data, and deep-dive into data intelligence ecosystem to track market shifts, consumer behavior, monitor brand performance, and support the CMI team in delivering actionable insights that influence business decisions. 

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Consumer Panel Data Expertise: Serve as the lead analyst for consumer panel platform. 
     Perform deep-dive analyses on key metrics—such as penetration, frequency, price tier, loyalty, and switching patterns, etc—to provide a clear picture of brand performance and market dynamics.

 

  • Data Integration & Support: Support the CMI team by integrating disparate data sources, including market data, internal sales data, and digital analytics, etc. Ensure data consistency and provide the analytical backbone for 360-degree consumer insights.

 

  • Market & Competitor Monitoring: Support the regular delivery of intelligence reports (e.g., brand monitoring, category/product trend watch, and competitor tracking, etc) to keep stakeholders informed of market shifts. 

 

  • Research Project Management: Lead and execute consumer studies of low-to-moderate complexity both in quant and quali methodology. Manage the process from agency briefing to data tabulation and basic reporting, ensuring adherence to Group standards.

 

  • Data Visualization & Asset Management: Maintain and update CMI data assets and dashboards. Translate raw numbers into "story-ready" charts and tables that help the team communicate insights effectively to management.

 

  • Agency Coordination: Manage day-to-day operational relationships with research agencies and data providers. Ensure high-quality deliverables and troubleshoot data-related issues to guarantee reliability.

 

PROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Analytical Rigor & Data Sensitivity: Exceptional ability to handle large datasets with high accuracy. Comfortable with "crunching numbers" and identifying meaningful trends within complex data. High understanding of panel methodology and KPIs is a significant asset.
  • Consumer Curiosity: A strong interest in understanding the "Why" behind the "What." A passion for the beauty industry and a desire to learn how data translates into consumer stories.
  • Advanced Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization tools or generative AI is preferred.
  • Operational Excellence: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tracking projects and ad-hoc requests simultaneously within deadlines.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills to work effectively within the CMI team and provide reliable data support to various internal stakeholders.

 

WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Years of experience: +3 years of career experience 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Market Research, Data Analysis, or Consumer/Market Insights positions is preferred
  • Experience in both qualitative and quantitative market research is preferred
  • Experience in beauty related industry is preferred
  • Other Skills: 
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and any data visualization tools
  • Fluent in both Korean English (Spoken & Written)
