Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Social Media & PR Specialist to develop and execute impactful social media and public relations strategies under the guidance of the Social PR Manager for shu uemura. This pivotal role requires demonstrated leadership in project execution, a deep understanding of PR and the social media landscape (especially the influencer market), strong relationships with media and influencers, and the ability to manage complex, multi-channel campaigns effectively. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing brand awareness, engagement, and consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
・Activate Social & PR strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive PR communication strategies and digital/social PR plans, applying a PDCA cycle to ensure high-quality content creation and maximized reach.
- Plan and orchestrate major brand events and new product launch events, ensuring effective exposure to influencers and, occasionally, consumers.
- Contribute to the planning and activation of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) communication initiatives.
・Influencer Marketing Management:
- Conceptualize and implement influencer promotions, leveraging a diverse range of influencers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across various social media and digital platforms.
- Cultivate strong relationships and develop programs with influencers to boost content creation and drive consumer consideration.
- Build and maintain robust networks with external partners, including PR agencies, talent agencies, and social media agencies, to foster effective collaborations.
・Data Analysis & Performance Management:
- Establish stringent qualitative and quantitative KPIs for all activities and rigorously track performance.
- Efficiently analyze traffic and social data, leveraging insights to inform campaign planning and content optimization.
- Manage SOB/SOV (Share of Buzz/Voice) databases, utilizing data for actionable plans and support.
- Summarize insights and conversations into operational reports that drive continuous optimization and efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze brand's and competitors' social/digital activities and trends, including real-time updates in KOL mapping.
- Oversee budget management for all directly managed activities, ensuring external agencies achieve optimal performance.
・Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with other communication teams (e.g., paid media, organic social, reviewer media) to execute integrated 360° communication action plans.
- Partner with the Global/HQ communication team to optimize strategies and actions for the Japanese market.
- Actively support other internal teams and departments to collectively achieve business objectives.
Must Have Aspects 必須項目
5+ years of proven experience in PR (media, agency, or in-house) or influencer marketing (agency or in-house digital roles)
Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in digital and social media marketing
Demonstrated creativity, "out-of-the-box" thinking, and a strong understanding of the beauty/fashion industry
Exceptional networking and communication skills
Content creation and editorial skills, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and tone of voice
Strong project management capabilities, including robust planning and execution skills
Business-level English fluency and native-level Japanese proficiency.
Proficiency in PC & Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualification 希望項目
Demonstrated experience in content creation, including digital media editorials and official asset production
Proven experience in event planning and management
Strong proficiency in data-driven marketing, leveraging digital analytics tools such as Sprinklr, Traackr, and Google Analytics
