A Day in the Life
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Indirect Purchasing team in Milan. As an Indirect Sourcing Manager, you will develop and implement sourcing strategies for key categories, working in close cooperation with our commercial divisions and zone teams. In this high-visibility role, you will lead and mentor one buyer, driving our performance and contributing to L’Oréal Italy's success.
- Strategy & Optimization: Implement global and zone category strategies in the Italian market. You will drive cost and value optimization through market analysis, leading negotiations, and managing RFPs.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between the business and suppliers. You will conduct regular business reviews, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate high-impact contracts to ensure compliance and performance.
- Innovation & Sustainability: Support the implementation of innovative tools and AI, while embedding our sustainability framework into indirect categories. You will be responsible for tracking KPIs and engaging suppliers in our L'Oréal for the Future journey.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify and manage sourcing risks, ensuring all practices meet legal requirements and internal policies, and report findings to local and global leadership.
We Are Looking For
You are a strategic and entrepreneurial sourcing professional with a strong team spirit and technical knowledge. You are adept at influencing the business and thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
- You have a solid background in sourcing and procurement, with experience managing categories like Retail and Promotions (POS, print, co-packing) being a plus.
- Highly experienced in leading negotiations, managing supplier relationships, and implementing sourcing best practices.
- You possess strong financial acumen, excellent project management skills, and a good understanding of business and stakeholder needs.
- Proficient in both Italian and English, with strong communication and presentation abilities.
- An innovative, hands-on leader, curious and adept at thinking "out of the box."
