What you will do:
- Create and maintain interactive BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present complex data in an accessible format.
- Design and implement effective data visualizations, ensuring clarity and user-friendliness.
- Work closely with business users and analysts to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Focus on creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces for BI applications through User Experience (UX) & User Interface (UI) design.
What we are looking for:
- 4+ years of experience in BI development
- Proficiency in creating Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations. This includes data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for calculations, creating calculated measures, columns, and tables with a focus on report performance.
- Strong understanding of relational data models and dimensional modeling concepts. Ability to design efficient and effective data models for BI reports.
- Understanding of various data sources and how to connect to them (databases, APIs, cloud services, flat files, etc.).
- Excellent knowledge of SQL for querying and preparing data.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and relevant services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL.
- Understanding of data warehousing principles and how they relate to BI development.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
- Experience with web development frameworks like React, Angular, JavaScript a plus
Business Intelligence and Domain Expertise:
- Background in CPG/Retail or eCommerce background with an understanding of the industry's key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales growth, market share, customer lifetime value, etc.
- Experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications for BI solutions.
- Contributing to the development of BI strategies and roadmaps within the organization and helping to shape the direction of BI development
