What You Will Do:
As Director, you will play a critical role in leading and executing direct sourcing strategies for the Contract Manufacturing Makeup team. This role will build strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders across various functions and global regions to secure advantageous contracts, drive innovation, and ensure long-term competitive advantage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership: Translate the overall vision into actionable team goals, fostering a high-performing environment and developing team members with varying levels of experience. Identify long-term challenges and opportunities for L'Oréal Americas, developing and advocating for sourcing strategies that create a sustainable competitive edge. Present and defend financial results to upper management.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key strategic suppliers in the Americas, serving as the primary point of contact for strategic discussions and complex negotiations. Secure favorable contractual agreements encompassing commercial terms, intellectual property, supply security, and business continuity plans.
- Innovation & Collaboration: Drive innovation by animating the supplier innovation network, capturing and communicating their contributions to internal stakeholders. Develop strong partnerships with internal teams across the Americas, including Business, Open Development, and Plant & Development teams, to create collaborative sourcing strategies that address diverse business needs.
- Global Alignment: Build a strong strategic network with worldwide sourcing teams to ensure the Americas' perspective is integrated into global initiatives and strategies. Autonomously influence cross-functional business sourcing teams both regionally and globally.
- Team Development & Performance: Manage and develop a team of diverse professionals, providing constructive feedback and fostering growth and autonomy.
What We Are Looking For:
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years’ experience strategic sourcing
- Team management experience
- High degree of financial and analytical aptitude a must
- Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
- Exceptionally strong Excel and MS office skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to handle various situations, multiple priorities, changing business needs
