As the DDX Loyalty Technical Lead, you will be a key driver in developing and maintaining the technical infrastructure and applications supporting L'Oréal's global loyalty programs. You will lead a team of engineers in building and enhancing the data pipelines, APIs, and services that power personalized experiences for millions of customers worldwide. Your deep understanding of loyalty program mechanics, coupled with your technical expertise, will ensure the successful delivery of innovative and scalable solutions. 

 

What you will do: 

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable data pipelines and APIs for loyalty programs using technologies like Node.js, React.js, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Redis Cache, Lambda Functions, Fargate-ECS, S3, SNS, SQS, and Kinesis.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of the DDXL Rule Engine, ensuring efficient and effective management of loyalty rules and personalized offers.
  • Leverage Pyspark, DynamoDB, and S3 to process and analyze large datasets, extracting insights to drive loyalty program strategy and performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and UX designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of the loyalty platform, proactively addressing technical challenges and implementing best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the loyalty and data engineering space, identifying opportunities to enhance the platform and deliver even greater value to our customers.
  • Drive the adoption of agile methodologies, ensuring efficient project delivery and continuous feedback integration.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture and strategy of the DDXL program, ensuring alignment with L'Oréal's global data vision.
  • Possess a deep understanding of end-to-end loyalty business processes, including customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and rewards management.
  • Provide UX expertise and guidance to ensure a seamless and engaging customer experience across all touchpoints.

 

What we are looking for:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on data engineering and backend systems.
  • Proven experience with Node.js, React.js, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Redis Cache, Lambda Functions, Fargate-ECS, S3, SNS, SQS, and Kinesis.
  • Strong experience with Pyspark, DynamoDB, and S3 for data processing and analysis.
  • Deep understanding of Loyalty Rule Engine or similar rule-based systems.
  • Experience with end-to-end loyalty business processes.
  • Strong UX expertise and a passion for creating user-friendly applications.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Passion for innovation and a drive to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
