What you will do:
The Business Analyst role is essential for delivering a successful data product. Bridging IT and business needs, this role translates business requirements into technical specifications using data analysis and profiling, ensuring value delivery.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, product, analytics engineering, architecture) to translate business needs into reusable, scalable data structures.
- Work with the product owner to understand KPIs and reverse engineer data mapping for the engineering team.
- Collaborate with the data architecture team to design optimized data schemas for data products.
- Lead data discovery, document findings, and advise on enhancing use cases with new datasets.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify data trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Analyze business rules and map data fields from various sources, ensuring accurate data transformation.
- Participate in data validation processes by proposing test cases from business logic.
- Establish a bridging role between the product owner and development team, abiding by Agile development principles
- Encourage effective communication and collaboration between the Development Team, Product Owner, and stakeholders to foster a collaborative and empowered team environment.
What we are looking for:
- 4+ years of experience developing and implementing data applications in mid-size to large companies.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with exceptional documentation skills.
- Proficient in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Skilled in manipulating large datasets using tools like DBT.
- Expertise in data modeling and analysis techniques.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Looker Studio.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
- Experience working with Agile principles in a Scrum environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-starter with an interest in development processes.
Business Intelligence and Domain Expertise:
- Background in CPG/Retail or eCommerce background with an understanding of the industry's key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales growth, market share, customer lifetime value, etc.
- Experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications for BI solutions.
- Contributing to the development of BI strategies and roadmaps within the organization and helping to shape the direction of BI development
