A Day in the Life

As an Area Sales Manager for our Dermatological Beauty Division in Indore, you will be instrumental in driving our business and medical prescription strategy in the Madhya Pradesh territory/Chhattisgarh. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of 3-5 Business Development Executives & Medical Representative to new heights of success. This is a key leadership role where you will build the commercial strategy, achieve ambitious sales targets, and forge strong partnerships with doctors and channel partners.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive Business Growth: Develop and execute market strategies to achieve annual sales targets (both sell-in and sell-out), identifying new opportunities and closing gaps in the market.
  • Lead & Develop Your Team: Recruit, manage, and motivate your team of Business Development Executives, guiding them to peak performance and professional growth.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Manage and strengthen relationships with key channel partners, including distributors, chemists, and dermatologists, to ensure healthy ROI and generate prescriptions.
  • Ensure In-Store Excellence: Monitor merchandising standards and product visibility across all retail points to ensure brand dominance and an exceptional consumer experience.

We Are Looking For

We are seeking a results-driven leader with a proven ability to manage teams and drive sales in the pharmaceutical or health FMCG sector. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and excel at building strong, collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external partners. Your ideal profile includes:

  • Business & Sales Acumen: A strong understanding of sales objectives, P&L management, and strategic planning to drive revenue.
  • Stakeholder Management: The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including doctors, distributors, and internal teams.
  • People Leadership: Experience in managing, developing, and motivating a field sales team to achieve collective success.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in forecasting sales, analyzing market data, and turning insights into actionable strategies.
  • Educational Foundation: An MBA or equivalent master's degree.
