In the department of Makeup Development in Japan, we are looking for a Researcher to join the team. The objective of this position is to lead the product development role to deliver great innovation to worldwide consumer via brands collaborating with internal & external partners.

In this role, you will play an important role as Researcher, you will mainly be responsible for;

• Take lead on makeup product development (Eye, Face, Lip, applicator etc) leveraging your expertise of beauty product technical knowledge, project management skill, consumer / market understanding.
• Manage different types of product development project, e.g. new & disruptive innovation in the market, adaptation existing technology toward market needs, one short animation project with agile manner.
• Build and execute product performance experimental plan (in-vitro, in-vivo) making sure the quality and safety compliance.
• Lead scientific and technology communication with internal and external stakeholders (Makeup lab, Evaluation/Consumer, Microbio, SRC, Patent, Operation, Marketing and External OEM/ODM partners)
• Lead technology deep understanding and propose competitive innovation roadmap with brand.
• Build strong partnership with Japanese and International external partner (OEM/ODM) to scout new innovation, lead co-development and implementing L’Oreal operation guidelines.

To succeed in this position, you have : 

• Solid working experience in makeup or beauty product development are highly preferred.
• Fluent in English and business level in Japanese (ideal)
• Digital skills 
• Bachelor’s degree (or above) in Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry
• Problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a fast paced, dynamic organization.
• Interest to expand capabilities beyond current expertise.
• Demonstrating leadership skills to position yourself for future management roles.

• Driving innovations delivery with agile manner (multiple project management with multiple brands >10 project / year).
• Possessing Pro-active, Open-minded, Positive and flexible to the change.
• Engaging stake folders efficiently, in different culture, working style or background.
