We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Physical Distribution Analyst to lead and optimize our supply chain. This role is within the Operations department, reporting to the Physical Distribution Manager of the Central America & Andean Region. The scope of this position covers Perú
The Physical Distribution and Transport Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the company's physical distribution network and transportation activities. This involves evaluating current processes, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and recommending solutions to improve service levels and reduce costs. The analyst will work cross-functionally with various departments, including procurement, warehousing, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Essential Functions:
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to transportation costs, delivery times, inventory levels, warehouse capacity, and other relevant metrics. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to pinpoint areas for improvement.
- Network Optimization: Evaluate the existing distribution network and identify opportunities to optimize routes, consolidate shipments, and improve warehouse utilization. Develop models and simulations to assess the impact of proposed changes.
- Carrier Management: Analyze carrier performance, negotiate rates, and manage contracts with transportation providers. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Technology Implementation: Evaluate and recommend logistics technologies, such as transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and route optimization software, to enhance operational efficiency.
- Cost Reduction: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Track and report on cost reduction efforts.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of logistics operations. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and logistics providers, to ensure smooth and efficient product flow.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline logistics operations and enhance overall efficiency.
- Project Management: Lead or participate in logistics-related projects, such as warehouse expansions, new carrier implementations, or network redesigns.

- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics technologies.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain analysis.
