ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Process monthly and off cycle payments accurately and efficiently for our office based/general population.
  • Process weekly payments accurately and efficiently for our retail and DC population. 
  • Collaborate closely with our outsourced payroll provider to ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data. 
  • Conduct and run pay variance checks to identify and resolve any discrepancies in payroll calculations. 
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks on the legacy payroll system to ensure its smooth operation. 
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Stay updated on relevant payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR and Finance, to address any payroll-related issues or concerns. 

 

ABOUT YOU 

  • Proven ability to solve problems and drive continuous process improvement
  • Previous experience in payroll data, coordinating and processing weekly and monthly pays
  • Knowledge of current legislation regarding payroll and related matters i.e. the Holidays Act, Employment Relations Act and IRD regulations
  • Confident presenter when dealing with all employees for payroll and ad hoc queries
  • Ability to understand and interpret Bargaining agreements
  • Excellent administration, organisation, time management and numerical skills
  • Competent computer user, intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) & SAP (or other HR database systems)
  • Collaborative team skills and strong communication skills
  • Experience with Datacom is desireable
  • Willingness to learn, cooperate and work within a team, nationally and internationally with Australia
