As part of the R&I 360 deployment, the Hair Repair Application Domain work on solving the rising needs of consumers in hair care and quality with disruptive new products in offering best in class performances, with full ethical and environmental consideration.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial cosmetic formulator to explore the hair care and repair solutions of tomorrow.

  • Propose and develop innovative technologies for hair treatments, based on your understanding of market and consumers, and leveraging an acquired expertise in organic chemistry, material science cosmetic formulation and process
  • Select and enhance innovation concepts, scouted and produced together with an international network of fundamental research, raw material suppliers and open innovation
  • Promote and coordinate the management of cross-disciplinary projects, acting with entrepreneurial mindset to drive the transformation into robust exclusive technologies
  • Help develop the lab strategy by decoding the consumers and the market in North Asia, and how technical breakthrough can disrupt the cosmetic industry
  • Modernize formulation science for products respectful of the planet, from green sourcing to minimal environmental impact
  • Promote awareness and appreciation of your field of research and promote knowledge sharing by acting as a facilitator and sounding board in your field of expertise

  • Master in Science or PhD, and experience in innovative projects (upstream projects) developing new technologies with prototyping & formulating skills. Strong skills in developing technical hypothesis and scientifically proving it
  • Experience in Hair care science and cosmetic products (ideally Hair products for salon and home use). At least 10-year formulation and/or process experience in cosmetic companies, with a success track of transferring technology from conception to products on the market.
  • Experience working in an international environment, with excellent communication and presentation skills in english 
  • Ascertained expertise in Material science, Physical Chemistry, and characterization of hair fibers, with solid understand of chemical treatments, their impact on hair integrity, and cosmetic solution for restoring its properties.
  • Experience in patent application and survey, specifically for freedom-to market search, patent mapping and proposing patent strategy.
