DIRECTOR – Global Brand Supply Chain

Job Summary: This position will report to the head of Urban Decay Operations.  Manages global supply / demand balancing for a category and facilitates trade-off decisions based on confirmed supply plan. Serves as point of contact for manufacturing, owns the quality of net requirements passed to production planning and translates commercial interests into priorities for manufacturing.  Collaborates with manufacturing to build supply scenarios and coordinates arbitration decisions across markets. It is responsible for coordinating the flow of product and information, managing exceptions and streamlining communication to local market supply teams. In addition, they serve as the single point of contact for the Global DMI for global demand & supply arbitration, new product launch and coordination.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsibilities are not limited to the below listing

  • Owns the quality of the DRP based on inputs from affiliates.
  • Develops and owns the process to challenge local market inventories, parameters and overall health of inventory.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for manufacturing translates net requirements into production priorities.
  •  Responsible for coordinating the arbitration process of  Finished Products with decision makers and communicating  the decision back to relevant stakeholders
  • Interfaces with the Global DMI for global demand and supply balancing issues, new product introduction and campaign planning
  • Manages global inventory targets/ parameters (Bin to confirm)
  • As the owners of global inventory, accountable to identify and drive resolution on E&O at the IDC.
  • Communicates / coordinates with BSM for supply requirements in local markets
  • Manages mid to long-term launch planning / coordination
  • Attracts, develops and retains talent to build best-in-class supply chain function.

Required Experience/Training:

  • BA/BS degree requires. Preferrably in Supply Chain, Engineering Business or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant business experience within Manufacturing or Supply Chain
  • Possess well-developed communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills to be able to build strong work relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Have the ability to synthesize information and create a clear synopsis of key issues
  • Ensure attention to detail
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate professional judgment and sound  decision- making skills
  • Ability to manage in complex situation often needing to deliver innovative result
  • Demonstrated success in persuasion, influence and negotiation skills
