Retail & Promo Sourcing – Director

As the Director Retail & Promo Sourcing, you will be responsible for developing sourcing strategy for categories within Retail and Promo domain, in line with the US and Global priorities. You will manage and implement sourcing strategies across L’Oréal US in close partnership with stakeholders, finance, IT, and other cross-divisional teams.

You will be responsible for strategic sourcing, trend analysis, stakeholder management, supplier management, continuous cost and performance improvement, L’Oréal for the Future targets, and innovation. You will report directly into the AVP Sourcing.

Your responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, be recognized as value partner, and influence business decisions
  • In partnership with stakeholders and local sourcing teams, define category priorities and strategy
  • Translate and prioritize global category strategy for local needs. Proactive exchange with global sourcing teams to help influence global initiatives
  • Lead broad range of commercial and contracts negotiations working closely with legal, and business
  • Develop deep understanding of the categories under management, and macro market factors, while identifying new potential innovative partners to support different initiatives
  • Manage/consolidate category spend analytics and financial reporting
  • Identify and bring forward new and innovative cost optimization projects to the stakeholders that can help enhance overall value
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships – manages scorecard, BRM, Risk evaluation

 

Your Experience / Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 5-10 years’ experience strategic sourcing and category management
  • 5+ years’ experience within Marketing or Retail domains (preferred)
