POSITION:                    Compliance Manager

DEPARTMENT:            Compliance

REPORTS TO:             Director - Compliance

LOCATION:                  St. Petersburg, Florida

 

The SalonCentric Compliance department works cross functionally with teams including, but not limited to, Finance, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, Category Management, DC teams & external partners to implement best practices and identify areas of opportunity with both internal teams and vendors. Primary responsibilities include measuring, reporting, and influencing change in behaviors to drive overall process improvements. Operational, process and financial metrics will be measured and reported to internal and external business partners.  Strategic cross-functional projects will be assigned ad hoc focused on driving process improvement.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform compliance reporting with a focus on analyzing and validating exceptions
  • Report violations accurately and timely and follow through to resolution
  • Communicate results to SalonCentric Senior Management team monthly
  • Monitor and report on internal business processes and identify gaps in structure and/or practice, propose enhancements/opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare vendor scorecard and make recommendations on process initiatives and vendor compliance improvements
  • Schedule & review reports & Compliance charges with vendors as needed
  • Strategic projects to be assigned focused on driving process improvement
  • Coordinate with finance teams on vendor bill backs & tracking of charges

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS required  
  • Work experience in Compliance Officer position and/or business background preferred
  • Professional communication skills, business acumen required, and a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel with ability to work with Pivot Tables & Graphs
  • Familiarity with SAP, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint very desirable
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Strength in quickly analyzing and understanding root causes of problems and identifying solutions
  • Comfortable having difficult conversations with internal business partners/vendors
