Title: 12 Month Junior Data Analytics Associate

Department: Consumer Care Center (CDMO)

Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ

Job Summary:  The Consumer Care Center gives L’Oréal USA the ability to engage with our consumers through many touch points. The Data Analytics 12-Month Intern creates reports to help understand consumer feedback to design better products. The intern is responsible for running and distributing reports and presentations as needed under the guidance of the Director of Data Analytics. This role is accountable for innovating information sharing within the CCC and to the cross-functional business partners, as well as many data related functions.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of data entry, data query, data QA, and data reporting
  • Assist in data analysis to answer various business questions or debug data issues
  • Create and maintain a library of dashboards, reports, and interactive data visualizations using a variety of visualization tools and techniques
  • Apply design and data analysis techniques to organize the presentation of data in visually innovative ways in order to make it easier to understand, insightful, and actionable by end users
  • Manage a repository of re-usable data visualization templates and views
  • Assist on projects from initial debrief to finished product with significant self-direction and limited oversight
  • Create functional & technical documentation related to Business Intelligence solutions
  • Run and create reports for all brands using various BI reporting systems
  • Help organize product portfolios for all brands
  • Responsible for recognizing opportunities for improvement in our policies or processes and leading the initiative in an effort to reduce disruptions in service or detract from customer satisfaction

Technical/Professional:

  • Solid training/experience in coding (any language)
  • Strong data skills and analytical mind
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint

Competencies Required

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and multitask effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment

Preferred Key Experiences:

  • Undergraduate degree in mathematics/statistics/other quantitative fields received within the last 12 months
  • Data minding/analytical experience a plus
  • Combination of education and relevant business experience will be considered
  • Authorization to work in the US on a long-term basis without requiring assistance
