ABOUT THE JOB 

The co-packing planner will be responsible for managing a portfolio of ongoing and promotional contract packing requirements for Loreal Australia and New Zealand. This role will be accountable for Scheduling and executing co-packing operations to ensure the availability of the manufactured products, while optimizing customer service, costs and improving the stock quality. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the co-packing planning process according to the targeted service level, costs, and inventory control standards, while following all required internal and external control requirements.
  • Manage the monthly/weekly/daily co-packing operational activities for an assigned portfolio.
  • Create and schedule the production plan and the components deliveries to the co-packers.
  • Communicate the production plan to the co-packers and follow its execution by managing purchase orders and deliveries between the co-packers/the distribution center (s)
  • Manage the non-factory componentry purchasing process to ensure all components are available at the co-packer to achieve delivery on time targets.
  • Control stock levels at the co-packer’s site, including conducting monthly stock reconciliation and annual stock takes.
  • Manage the replenishment and stock to interstate warehouses and internal storage locations.
  • Analyze and report on co-packers’ performance (production, quality, stock levels) and ensure that they are following Loreal Group's requirements especially in terms of quality and traceability.
  • Lead and coordinate improvement projects with a focus on simplifying and automating process to drive productivity and remove complexity in the supply chain.
  • Participate in meetings, work groups or multi-disciplinary projects to contribute in improving the co-packing process.
  • Educate the rest of the business on best practices and operating standards related to co-packing.
  • Work as part of a team with all stakeholders involved in the manufacturing and co-packing process favoring a spirit of mutual help and cooperation.

ABOUT YOU 

  • SAP expertise in relation of physical distribution & materials management is strongly preferred.  
  • Solid understanding of supply chain’s physical, informational, and financial flows. 
  • Strong understanding of customer expectations and demonstrated high level of customer service.
  • Experience working with co-packers or external third-party suppliers is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, business, or related field is strongly preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience in supply chain planning function such as production, supply or demand planning or operations management function is strongly preferred.
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated with strong organizational skills (multi-tasking).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.
