What You Will Learn:
The Senior Medical Representative is responsible for promoting, educating, and generating demand for the L’Oreal Dermatological Beauty (LDB) products, achieving daily visits to HCP’s or events within their territory. Will drive brand/product awareness, provide advice and education through clinical data, and introduce new products. Customers can include doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, among others. As part of the responsibilities is to share clinical studies education and role play on quarterly messages for the Caribe Medical Detailing Team. Develop a communication strategy to provide education and support Caribe Medical team through Teams meetings or direct training. Manage content and logistics on In-service for medical residents and special HCP events.
Job Responsibilities
- Targeted physicians call Dermatologists, Pediatricians, GPs, and Oncologists, among others.
- Uses the product communication scheduled in the visit cycle: preparation of visits, implementation of communication techniques, and visit report.
- Visit health care providers (HCPs) according to the monthly plan.
- Upload weekly planning and daily visits on the Veeva platform.
- Demand generation to achieve sell-out territory targets for LDB Brands
- Knows the environment: medical structure of the field, associations, opinion leaders, influence trends, prescription leaders.
- Proposes & executes a territory action/business plan that includes but is not limited to lunch & learns, round tables, grants, and active participation in symposiums and congresses, among all other medical activities.
- Maintain their training level at the highest: products and selling techniques.
- Lead & support medical communication strategy by educating and supporting the Caribe Medical team (PR & Islands) through presentation, role play & creating evaluation tools to measure knowledge.
- Develop presentations to support the medical detailing team according to marketing messages.
- Participates actively in our division's marketing and POS actions and organizes their Medical Activities.
- Complies with all mandatory trainings, Company policies, and procedures, including but not limited to employee manual, ethical standards, health, safety, and security procedures.
- Perform any other job-related duties that may arise in the future.
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Science or related disciplines.
- Language: Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Years of Experience: Four (4) to six (6) of experience in a similar position in the pharmaceutical and/or medical devices industry.
- Licenses and/or Certifications: Puerto Rico Driver’s License

- Targeting and segmentation follow-up.

- Treats objections, obtains prescriptions.
- Creates and updates the physician’s file.

- Knows skin and hair physio-pathologies and the medical environment.
- Knows our products and competition (formulas and patients benefits).
- Develops one’s local medical network.
- Knows regulatory constraints.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP ON ONE’S TERRITORY
- Analyzes key performance indicators on one’s territory.
- Implements and adjusts sectoral action plan.
- Interacts with the Sales Rep(s) to build synergies.
COLLABORATIVE BRAND & TEAM BUILDING
- Develops competitive intelligence.
- Focuses on brand Must Have projects according to the country strategy.
- Participates in prospective task forces.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Analyzer and business applications.
- Travel: This position may require traveling up to 20% for business meeting.

- Proficient in the management of Clinical Studies
- Understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Knowledge of territory and sample management.
- Utilization and Navigation of Veeva as a business tool
