Job Title: Sr Manager, Customer & Sales Activation Data Domain Data Product Owner (DPO) 

Department: One L'Oréal Data 

Reports To: AVP, Commerce DPO Lead

About the role: Accountable and responsible for the delivery of the domain data assets to ensure data is available for use cases that meet business needs (including data acquisition, integration, cleansing, harmonization and structuring in layers of data platform). Work closely with the Beauty Tech Data Teams, Global Domain DPOs and Analytics Product Owners. Prioritize roadmap/backlog in Agile delivery mode with Beauty Tech Data Engineers and API Center of Expertise. 

Responsibilities: 

DATA SETS & ROADMAPS 

  • Work with Global domain DPO to define shared data set and API roadmap. Prioritize according to use case needs with Use case Product Owner and Beauty Tech Data Team.
  • Identify integration needs for further use cases data acquisition.
  • Prepare data for use cases by specifying governed Business Objects
  • Document data flows in Discovery

DATA SOURCING & TESTING 

  • Work with IT Data Custodian and Data factory to source the data
  • Define and track key success metrics
  • Create test scenarios and supervise data validation with testing team

DATA PROCESSING / MANIPULATION 

  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional business requirements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date shared data set (life cycle management) 
  • Define and plan remediation and enhancement in run phase
  • Manage and prioritize the shared dataset backlog

 

Data Delivery Execution: Lead the execution of data delivery projects, ensuring data availability, quality, and accessibility for business use cases. 

Data Acquisition & Preparation: Collaborate with Beauty Tech Data Team and IT Data Custodians to source, integrate, and prepare data for use. 

Data Quality & Governance: Contribute to the development and implementation of data quality and governance standards. 

Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on data management best practices. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with Beauty Tech Data Team, the Domain PMO, Analytics Product Owners, and the API Center of Expertise. 

Project & Program Leadership: Lead and manage data-related projects and programs, ensuring timely and successful delivery. 

Experience:  

What We Are Looking For: 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 6-8 years of proven experience in Data roles. 
    • Domain Knowledge
      • In-depth understanding of customer and sales data and processes
        • Commercial Terms (contracts, price, rebates, catalogue, assortments, Promo calendar…)
        • Customer Referential Data related to the customers, point of sales, consumer facing staff, sales structure and distribution channels
  • Activities related to marketing campaigns, events, education programs and any other actions with the purpose to activate Commercial strategies
  • Promotional activities from discounts to mechanics and promo calendars
  • Proficiency in analyzing commerce data, including sales metrics, territories, product data, and variable compensation plans
  • Familiarity with commerce technologies and tools, including SalesForce, point of sale integrations, SAP, and geospatial tools
  • Data-related technical skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • A combination of data management and business knowledge to be able to translate the use case needs into data driven solutions
    • Ability to build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, and dependency
  • Tools & programming
    • SQL
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) 
    • BigQuery

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Self-driven and comfortable to make appropriate decisions supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products across different use cases
    • Project management
      • Strong Agile project management and organizational skills
      • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment

Additional Benefits Information As Follows: 

Salary Range: $117,400 - $167,300 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
