What You Will Learn:

The Kroger Senior Account Merchandising role is a critical team member of the CPD Cosmetics Sales team responsible for bringing our brand visions to life at “the wall” and continually looking for ways to improve the consumer experience while maximizing performance & profitability of our capital investment.   In this role, you will have the opportunity to bring art & science together utilizing consumer & customer insights to curate and arrange an assortment that optimizes the critical at shelf moment in the consumer decision journey.

 

Mission and defining characteristics 

  • Responsible for the management of all aspects of planograming experience & performance for Kroger CPD Cosmetics inclusive of L’Oreal Paris, NYX, Maybelline, and essie.
  • Lead optimization of new consumer centric innovation each season while adapting planograms to meet ever changing dynamic cosmetics landscape.  Continually work to identify opportunities & problems and develop solutions for both short & long-term improvement.
  • Partner with Account Leads and internal planogram teams to ensure the Kroger merchandising & consumer demands are met to grow the cosmetics category
  • Key Team Member of CPD Kroger Cosmetics Sales team.

 

Main tasks 

TASK

  • Develop Cosmetics Planogram Strategy, optimizing for distribution, space to sales modular productivity and provide quarterly reporting to track performance & use for ad-hoc analysis
  • Continually keep a pulse on best-in-class merchandising solutions across CPD customers & within the larger marketplace to ensure we are finding ways to amplify Cosmetics at Kroger
  • Support Cosmetics Line Review including Add/ Deletes Forecast and Innovation Sell Stories
  • Support Permanent Merchandising Execution, liaising with SMSB, fixture suppliers, etc.
  • Develop graphic start work form and manage proofing & timely execution of all graphics
  • Forecast and manage capital expense budgets & timelines
  • Own the innovation forecast, pipe, and on-going performance including recommendations for future opportunities based on trends & analytics to be shared post launch internally & with Kroger
  • Own customer- specific analytics sharing relevant insights with sales, brand, and customer including ways to amplify all 4 Ps during key moments throughout the year
  • Cosmetics new item paperwork overflow as needed

  • All timelines for resets are achieved via collaboration & clear communication with key team members
  • Add/ Deletes each season support category growth while minimizing capital & expense to maximize ROI
  • Planogram linear productivity in growth, beating total category benchmarks
  • Create stories using analytics to identify opportunities and creativity to bring new & different solutions
  • Growth mindset, open to new ideas, ways of working, and monitoring trends & competition

Qualifications/experience:

  • Bachelors Degree 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Sales 
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills a must.    
  • Excellent Excel including pivot tables & advanced formulas and PowerPoint skills 
  • Pro-space and Modular Drawing Experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of customer strategy and key levers as well as competitors 
  • Deep knowledge of beauty and personal care
  • Ability to create an account specific selling story by utilizing a combination of syndicated data, POS and internal consumer insights
  • Strong ability to build trusting relationships with cross functional partners
  • Innovate in a collaborative manner
  • Self-motivated, results and solution oriented, strategic thinker
  • Superior time management, project management and prioritization skills
