Role Overview – The Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for the strategic maintenance and modernization of all utility systems, buildings, and grounds. This role ensures operational continuity, manages internal teams and external vendors, and oversees facility budgets and capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Preventive Maintenance: Lead comprehensive PM programs for all utilities, building systems (HVAC, fire/life safety, boilers, generators, compressed air), and grounds.
- Project Management: Oversee facility improvements and maintenance across office, factory, warehouse, and automated areas.
- Vendor & Team Management: Direct in-house maintenance staff and specialized contractors (electrical, HVAC, plumbing).
- Modernization: Identify, justify, and execute projects to upgrade and modernize the facility.
Compliance & Safety
- Standards: Ensure full compliance withNorth Little Rock (NLR)permitting, OSHA standards, and Corporate Risk Management policies.
- Safety Leadership: Drive the NLRsafety program and adhere to Corporate Insurance requirements for all vendors.
- Audits: Participatein local audits andleadthe implementation of corrective actions.
Reporting & Finance
- Data Management: UtilizeCMMS to document tasks and analyze equipment repair history to prioritize improvements.
- Budgeting: Manage the operating budget, support Facilities CAPEX, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Emergency Response
- Serve as the primary point of contact for after-hours facility emergencies,determiningand executing swift resolutions.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance or facilities; 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiencyin plant maintenance (automation, electrical, HVAC, compressors, industrial trucks) and facility trades (carpentry, plumbing, roofing, flooring).
- Project Management: Proven experience in office renovations, material handling equipment, and general building infrastructure.
Technical & Operational Skills
- Safety Leadership: Strong safety orientation with a commitment to fostering a high-regard safety culture.
- Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS/database tools for data organization and reporting.
- Physical Ability: Ability to physically inspect properties and navigate a dynamic manufacturing environment.
