Launch Planner - PPD
Step into the whirlwind world of product launches as PPD's Launch Maestro!. As a launch planner you will own and manage the exciting end-to-end launch process. Working to help deliver all of PPD’s new products to market and acting as the key point of contact between for the international planning teams and the wider L’Oreal business.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
A day in the life as PPD’s one and only launch planner! Sitting amongst the planning team, your morning will always start by a way of warm greetings. As the go-to for launches in PPD for all 5 brands, you may kick off your morning may by jumping on a call with our international supply teams to discuss the latest update on availability and production for one of the big upcoming strategic global launches. You may spend the rest of your morning working on your divisional launch tracker to ensure newly announced launches are included, or launched products removed, whilst catching up with supply and demand planners to make sure their forecasting systems and tools are updated with this information. After a lovely team lunch, you may join the planning cycle meeting where you present and discuss any problems or concerns on the launch rollout with the marketing and commercial teams and co- create innovative action plans with them where needed.
Problem solving and clear communication are vital in this role, but you are also provided with the chance to form strong relationships across various teams and present your hard work to different stakeholders. The launch planner is really the linchpin between all teams on all things launch! The variety of launches you can work with means this role is always exciting, and there is huge satisfaction to be had as you watch each launch successfully roll out to our customers.
WHO YOU ARE
• A good understanding of the end-to-end supply chain. Previous work experience in supply chain, particularly planning would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills: The ability to engage, communicate with and influence internal & external stakeholders. Able to network and manage upwards.
• The ability to simplify complex messages.
• Continuous improvement mindset – Able to see beyond existing constraints, review and improve processes and share best practice with the wider team.
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel. SAP/APO experience would be an advantage.
• Positive self-starter, with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are a must.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced, dynamic, constantly changing environment.
