A Day in the Life 

L’Oréal International Distribution (LID) is a dynamic, multi-brand business unit focused on the internationalization of brands through partnerships with national/regional distributors, direct-to-retail partners, and eCommerce. As the Business Development Manager, you’ll have the strategic responsibility to drive the LID Fragrance brand portfolio strategy across South-East Asia, covering Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Cambodia (with potential for expansion). Reporting directly to the GM, Commercial, based in Singapore, you will: 

  • Work closely with the GM to develop, monitor, and manage a portfolio of accounts, distributors, and retailers, from strategy to implementation. 
  • Design and develop the go-to-market strategy for the brands, ensuring go-to-market excellence. 
  • Collaborate with partners to create, monitor, and execute annual business and trade plans, achieving sell-in, sell-out, market share, and profitability goals. 
  • Lead discussions with partners on brand management, launches, trade plans, animations, and space/location strategies, while staying attuned to consumer behavior and market trends. 
  • Partner with LID Marketing to develop, implement, and monitor marketing, promotional, and animation calendars, ensuring precise execution with a focus on quality. 
  • Regularly visit distributors and retail locations to develop the business and build strong relationships at all levels. 
  • Collaborate with internal LID functions, including marketing, finance, and supply chain, to align on strategic priorities and achieve shared goals.

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role or environment.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build strong business relationships.
