POSITION PURPOSE
The Visual Merchandiser Coordinator is an integral member of Aesop Taiwan's marketing team, providing essential operational and creative support across all aspects of events and in-store visual execution. This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and aesthetically minded individual who is eager to grow their career within a premium brand environment.
The VM Coordinator will work closely with VM lead, marketing team and retail partners to ensure that Aesop's physical spaces consistently reflect the brand's visual standards and storytelling ambitions — from campaign rollouts to day-to-day store excellence.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Campaign and Retail VM Management
- Support the execution of VM installations based on DMI (Global) directions, adapting concepts to individual store formats under the guidance of the VM lead
- Assist in the coordination and execution of all Marketing and CRM event visuals
- Manage the production and logistics of all printed materials, including supplier coordination, timeline tracking, and delivery quality checks
- Assist in the planning and implementation of in-store displays and seasonal updates, aligned with business priorities and retail calendars
- Collaborate with Retail Team to understand commercial needs and ensure VM solutions support a smooth, intuitive customer journey
- Support the tracking and reporting of VM-related activities and their commercial impact
- Brand Guardianship
- Conduct regular store visits to monitor and maintain VM standards across all Taiwan locations
- Support the upkeep of Aesop's visual identity within stores, identifying areas for improvement and communicating observations to the VM lead
- Ensure all in-store props, materials, and display elements are maintained in excellent condition
- Validate and control all printed material from all departments; all visual display of all touchpoints
- New Store Opening/ Stores Renovation
- Provide hands-on support during new store opening preparations, including prop management, display setup, and photography for official PR use
- Liaise with Store Design team and logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate execution of all VM elements
Administrative & Creative Coordination
- Maintain organised records of VM assets, props inventory, campaign materials, and visual guidelines
- Support the preparation of presentations, mood boards, and creative briefs for internal and regional stakeholders
- Research and compile references on global art, design, and retail trends to support team ideation
KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail design, or a related creative field, ideally within premium or luxury brands or creative agencies
- Good understanding of the commercial retail environment and a genuine interest in connecting creativity to business performance
- Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Linguistic Versatility: Native-level fluency in Mandarin and business-level English proficiency — able to collaborate and present confidently with the Regional VM Manager and local stakeholders
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, or equivalent visual design tools
- Enjoy crafting and handmade objects
