Key Job Accountabilities / 主要職務

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Social Media & PR Manager to develop and execute impactful social media and public relations strategies for shu uemura. This key role requires a proven leader with a deep understanding of the Japanese market, strong relationships with media and influencers, and the ability to manage complex campaigns across multiple channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing brand awareness, engagement, and reputation.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Social Media & PR Strategies: Develop and execute social media and PR strategies aligned with global brand communication and local business objectives. This includes establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key media contacts (Magazine, broadcast, digital, social media platforms, etc) to achieve 360-degree brand communication.
  • Brand Messaging and Engagement: Effectively communicate brand messaging across various media channels to increase brand awareness and engagement within the Japanese market.
  • Social Media Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on brand and competitor activities across social and digital platforms. Define, evaluate, track, and report on all social media activities against clearly defined KPIs.
  • KOL Mapping and Management: Continuously research and update KOL mapping, identifying relevant influencers and managing relationships.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including press, writers, talents, influencers, and makeup artists.
  • Brand Representation: Act as a brand spokesperson, representing shu uemura to external stakeholders.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute major brand events and product launches. Manage external agencies to ensure optimal performance.
  • Reputation Management: Maintain and protect the brand's reputation, proactively identifying and managing potential risks/ crises.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the budget for all directly managed activities.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor team members, fostering their growth into PR professionals
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams (Marketing, Digital, CX, etc) to coordinate 360° communication action plans and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • DMI Head Office Collaboration: Work closely with the head office communications team to ensure successful implementation and optimization of activities in Japan.
  • Support Team Success: Provide support to other team members and departments in achieving Brand business goals.


Must Have Aspects / 必須項目

More than 5 years experiences in Marketing/Communication/PR

Has experiences at FMCG, Luxury, Fashion including at Media Agency

Flexible to Hands-On

High level of English


Preferred Qualification / 希望項目

Beauty Industry experience

People Management experience

Prior working experiences in global matrix organizations
