About the Role: As the Director, Data & Analytics Performance Management, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and driving the overall strategy and roadmap for data and analytics performance within the NORAM region. You will manage the analysis across the CDAO portfolio of projects/products, focusing on understanding the effectiveness, enhancing the value, efficiency, and impact of data and analytics activities across divisions and functions. This role requires deep expertise in business intelligence and analytics, a strong understanding of data architecture and governance principles, and leadership skills to influence the data and analytics teams across the organization. Your work will significantly influence strategic decision-making within the data and analytics function.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Performance & Roadmap Definition: Define the overall strategy and roadmap for data and analytics performance management within the NORAM division/function. This includes establishing and continuously evolving a comprehensive KPI framework across data quality, reliability, speed, and the effectiveness and business impact of all analytics products and solutions.
  • Advanced Performance Analytics & Insights: Lead the in-depth analysis and interpretation of complex performance data across the data and analytics ecosystem. Utilize deep expertise in business intelligence and a wide range of analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and systemic areas for improvement, providing strategic, data-driven insights and recommendations that significantly influence executive decision-making.
  • Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Management: Oversee the development and delivery of high-impact, executive-level performance reports and dashboards. Proactively manage relationships with key stakeholders across divisions and functions, communicate complex performance narratives clearly and concisely, and ensure transparency and alignment on performance objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives derived from performance insights. Oversee the development and implementation of solutions aimed at optimizing data processes, enhancing analytics product effectiveness, and driving operational efficiency. Focus on strategic initiatives that transform business processes and contribute to L'Oréal's competitive advantage.
  • Emerging Technologies & Innovation: Stay informed about industry best practices and familiarity with emerging technologies in data science and analytics. Evaluate and integrate new methodologies and tools to enhance performance measurement capabilities and drive innovation within the function.
  • Complex Project Leadership: Lead complex, cross-functional projects with significant business impact and often high ambiguity and evolving requirements, specifically focused on improving data and analytics performance and driving strategic outcomes.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in data and analytics performance management, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably within a large, multi-brand, or multi-category organization.
  • Deep expertise in business intelligence and analytics, with a strong understanding of data architecture and data governance principles.
  • Proven track record of defining and implementing comprehensive KPI frameworks and driving performance optimization strategies.
  • Experience with a wide range of analytical tools and techniques.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to manage large teams and effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and strong business acumen, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects with significant business impact, managing high ambiguity and evolving requirements.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in data science and analytics, and a proactive approach to adopting new methodologies.
  • A passion for driving a data-driven culture and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the beauty or consumer goods industry is a plus.

 

Additional Benefits Information As Follows: 

Salary Range: $138,500 - $200,800 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
