What You Will Do:
- The Campus Experience Lead guides and develops the Campus Experience team across 2 New York Locations, 10 Hudson Yards and 20 Hudson Yards, ensuring an optimal workplace environment for all employees and visitors. This role oversees all aspects of campus operations, from facilities management, security, and sustainability initiatives to reception, event management, food & beverage and mail services. This role requires strong leadership, project management, communication, and data analysis skills, as well as a dedication to fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture. The Head of Campus will lead the team of Office Ambassadors, creating an unparalleled experience for every guest that walks through the door.
- The Campus Lead will also collaborate with global counterparts to align on a world-class workplace strategy and continuously seek improvements to the campus environment
- Create consistent processes and lead execution across workplace operations, including but not limited to work environment, security, cleaning, mailroom, food services, well-being, convenience, diversity and inclusion, and events
- Deploy new ways of working with the Campus Experience team in close alignment with our People Experience and IT functions
- Optimize all building utilities (e.g., HVAC, lighting, boilers, compressed air, elevators, etc.) and waste streams for maximum operational efficiency in alignment with campus and industry Operation and Maintenance (O&M) standards at each New York campus
- Partner with the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) team to create strategic project roadmaps to reduce energy, water and waste in alignment with the L’Oréal For The Future (L4TF) 2030 Commitments for each campus
- Manage the capital expense (Capex) and operational expense (Opex) budgets for the L’Oréal USA New York locations to deliver an optimal employee and visitor experience within the annual financial budgets for each site
- Support the decommissioning and relocation of office locations when applicable, while driving a seamless and welcoming experience into new space
- Strategic Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact projects. Develop detailed project plans, set clear milestones, manage resources, and ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Ownership of all elements of the campus experience with an employee-centric lens. Act as the primary liaison with cross-functional teams to provide the best workplace experience
- Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize data and analytics to track key metrics, measure program effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement. Leverage insights for future programs and campus enhancements
- Communication and Change Management: Design and implement change management and communication strategies to drive the successful adoption of new programs and initiatives. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Expand, conceptualize, and execute programs that drive employee engagement, boosting employee morale, employee recognition, learning and development, and a positive culture within the organization. Introduce new offerings and deploy strategies across campuses
- Partner with the HR and L4TF teams to support LEED & WELL certifications for all applicable facilities
- Manage strong partnership with Finance, Legal, HR and local stakeholders on campus updates and processes
- Partner with global Campus Experience counterparts to work towards an aligned strategy for a world-class workplace environment
- Continue to refresh and refine the campus for betterment
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- This role is rooted in customer service and this candidate must view every campus role through a hospitality lens
- Excellent planning skills with the ability to establish clear priorities for the team
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to continually multitask
- Extremely high standards and attention to detail.
- Minimum of eight years facilities/project management experience with operating expenses (Opex) and capital expense (Capex) management responsibility of at least $15MM+
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Finance, Engineering or related discipline
- Experience managing a contracted foodservice vendor
- Exceptional oral and written skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of Management
- The ability to build strong collaborative networks, and manage and influence stakeholders
- Experience working with a blended team of full time and contracted employees, creating an inclusive environment and ‘one team’ mentality
- Demonstrated track record of strong team leadership and staff development
- Familiarity with architectural plans and utility operations
- Functional working knowledge of mail/shipping operations
- Willingness to travel to all L’Oreal sites within the USA
- Background in hospitality and event management preferred
- Proficiency in MS Suite & Wrike or similar project management tool
- Experience with WELL/LEED Certifications
- Ability to be in the office 5x/Week
- Flexibility to provide support outside of working hours
