About the Role: As the Director, Analytics Portfolio Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving L'Oréal NORAM's data and analytics strategy. You will lead the comprehensive management of the analytics project portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives, optimal resource allocation, and robust project governance. This high-impact role requires strong leadership to manage demand, prioritize initiatives, oversee project execution, and report on portfolio delivery, driving impact across the organization. You will be responsible for the cataloging of projects/products and project/product delivery management across all divisions and functions. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Portfolio Leadership & Vision: Lead the strategic planning, development, and ongoing management of the NORAM analytics product portfolio. Ensure tight alignment with L'Oréal's global data and analytics strategy and NORAM business objectives. Drive the integration of analytics initiatives to unlock business value and foster innovation within the beauty industry. Contribute to the development of departmental plans and overall data and analytics strategy.
  • Demand Management & Prioritization: Establish and oversee the comprehensive demand management process for data and analytics services, products, and projects. Evaluate, prioritize, and sequence initiatives based on business value, feasibility, resource availability, and strategic impact, ensuring optimal allocation of financial, human, and material resources.
  • Portfolio Execution & Project Governance: Oversee the end-to-end execution of the analytics portfolio, from planning and resource allocation to tracking progress, budget adherence, and delivery reporting. Implement governance to ensure consistent project delivery, risk management, and quality control across all portfolio initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence: Partner closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to champion data-driven decision-making and ensure successful adoption of analytics solutions. Effectively communicate portfolio progress, challenges, and ROI, securing buy-in for key initiatives and addressing issues with impact beyond your immediate team.
  • Performance Measurement & Optimization: Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the analytics portfolio, measuring project health, delivery efficiency, and business impact. Conduct regular portfolio reviews and post-project assessments to identify lessons learned and drive continuous process improvement.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 8 years professional experience in data and analytics performance management, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably within a large, multi-brand, or multi-category organization.
  • Proven leadership experience in data and analytics portfolio management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of project and portfolio management best practices, methodologies, and governance.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights and actionable plans.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive transformational change and foster a data-driven culture.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles, data security, and relevant regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience with a range of data and analytics technologies, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience in the beauty or consumer goods industry is a plus.

 

Additional Benefits Information As Follows: 

Salary Range: $138,500 - $200,800 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
