A Day in the Life 

As Despatch Manager at our Dandenong Distribution Centre you will report into the DC Operations Manager and lead the despatch team to deliver flawless outbound operations for our Corporate division. Please note this is a 12-month maximum term contract.

You’ll combine hands-on leadership with process ownership to ensure on-time, accurate and safe deliveries to customers and retail partners.

  • Operations & Planning: Manage daily despatch scheduling, carrier bookings, loading plans and OTIF delivery performance.
  • Team Leadership & Safety: Coach and develop the despatch team, enforce EHS standards and drive a safe workplace.
  • Systems & Performance: Operate and optimise WMS/TMS/SAP processes, analyse KPIs (OTIF, lead times, cost per shipment) and produce operational reports.
  • Stakeholder Management: Hit the ground running to resolve escalations with Supply Chain, Sales and Customer Service, and manage carrier relationships. You’re in the details and the go-to person to resolve problems quickly.

 

We Are Looking For 

You’re ready to run a busy DC despatch operation and to grow with us. We are looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of logistics & despatch operations and carrier management.
  • Proven people leader who develops teams and champions safety.
  • Experience with WMS/TMS/SAP and data-driven decision making.
  • Continuous improvement mindset (Lean/Kaizen).
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills.


**Please note this role is required to be onsite at the Dandenong DC 5 days per week**
