What You Will Do: The AVP of eCommerce will serve as the strategic leader for the brand.com ecosystems of two premier medical-grade skincare brands. This high-impact role is responsible for the continued acceleration of the successful SkinCeuticals.com global business and the strategic launch of the new global DTC platform for skinbetter.com. You will lead teams tasked with driving the growth of the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business worldwide, balancing the optimization of a mature market leader with the foundational build of a new global digital identity.

To develop the strategies needed for success, you will utilize a data-centric approach focusing on maximizing key consumer-centric KPIs, including traffic, conversion, and revenue. With rigor in brand layer management, site content, UX/UI, transactional media, SEO, CRM, and services, you will partner cross-functionally to deliver on this high-growth business. This leader will collaborate with top markets, Global CDMO teams, Global DTC, IT, and Services teams to ensure DTC growth, roadmap prioritization, and the security of relevant DTC pilots across both brand portfolios.

A proven track record of building and developing a direct eCommerce business and managing a diverse team of individuals is essential.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategic Dual-Brand Management: Orchestrate the digital roadmap for two distinct brands: driving the next phase of "best-in-class" innovation for SkinCeuticals while leading the end-to-end launch strategy and global rollout for the skinbetter science DTC platform.
  • Omni-Channel Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and markets to drive digital marketing activities such as DTC content, exclusive services, SEO strategy, CRM, and Loyalty programs tailored to each brand’s unique consumer base.
  • Market Growth & Distribution: Partner with top markets and International Business Development (IBD) leads to understand brand distribution priorities and create DTC-specific growth goals and projections for both SkinCeuticals and skinbetter science.
  • Performance Analytics: Partner with the Global CDMO team for ongoing measurement and key KPI tracking (e.g., CAC, LTV, Conversion Rate) for top DTC markets worldwide.
  • Consumer Insights: Partner with Consumer Market Insights (CMI) teams to understand the unique DTC customer journeys for both brands and develop optimal, fact-based strategies for acquisition and retention.
  • Site Optimization & UX: Create a feedback loop with top markets to continually evolve and optimize the brand layer to be best-in-class, including navigation, PDP content, and SEO optimization.
  • Operations & Technology: Oversee all owned eCommerce operations and technologies, ensuring the brand layer architecture supports global scalability and premium user experiences.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the global brand expert for all questions related to DTC strategies, performance, and industry benchmarks across all SkinCeuticals and skinbetter science markets.
  • Best Practice Integration: Partner with the Global CDMO, International Digital Teams, and other cross-functional teams across L’Oréal globally to share best practices, pilot new solutions, and leverage synergies between the two brands.

Organization Structure and Key Working Relationships Works extremely closely with Marketing, IBD, Global CDMO teams, and top markets to drive and implement digital strategy to accelerate DTC growth for the brand.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • 10–15 years of experience in direct-to-consumer eCommerce roles, including site merchandising and management, UX/UI, supply chain, finance, and overall digital strategy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Proven experience managing a team of digital experts with a focus on their professional growth.
  • Related work experience that demonstrates an understanding of the confluence of brand management and direct-to-consumer marketing principles.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and application, including branding, advertising, CRM, analytics, and SEO.
  • Deep understanding of the eCommerce ecosystem—both technical and business aspects.
  • Expert knowledge and skill with data and statistics, particularly as it relates to eCommerce and consumer analytics.
  • Demonstrated strength in communication and influencing skills; including written, verbal, and engagement of internal and external business partners.
  • Ability to lead presentations and effectively analyze and translate data into actionable business plans.
  • Highly collaborative across different stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong projection and forecasting skills.
  • Open to new ideas and actively builds networks to achieve goals.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and a strategic thinker.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Additional Benefits Information:

  • Salary Range: $144,800–$210,000 (Actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level).
