Our focus is on the data strategies and technologies that are required to build a best in class asset and supporting programs for our brands.
What You Will Do: ‘
L’Oreal USA is looking for an Audience Activation Senior Manager reporting into the AVP, Audience Strategy. This strategic role in the group is responsible for helping build programs, technology solutions and operational best practices necessary to carry out the overall audience strategy vision. They are critical to enabling L’Oreal USA to deploy precision marketing strategies with high return on investment.
The Audience Activation Senior Manager will be a key partner across the organization, regularly interacting with cross functional teams in IT, Media and our brand teams. The role will work within a team that is focused on building our 1P data asset through data acquisition tactics and strategies and using the 1P data asset to build actionable consumer insights. Channels and systems in scope include paid, social media, retail media, audience segmentation and management, CDP/Identity Resolution, Clean Rooms & Partnership ecosystem
Key Functions of this Job:
- Lead Audience Activation: Collaborate with media and brand teams to activate defined audiences across various paid media channels, including video, social, and retail platforms. Develop and execute activation strategies tailored to specific campaign objectives and target audiences.
- Manage Audience Technology Solutions: Oversee and optimize our audience technology stack, ensuring seamless integration with various marketing platforms (streaming providers, Google, Meta, Amazon, etc) and data sources. Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance audience activation capabilities.
- Audience Ops Leadership: Oversee agency audience ops team responsible for building and syndicating audiences to platforms and performing any necessary technical QA.
- Data Science Team Leadership: Work in close partnerships with Director, Audience Insights, to oversee a team of data scientists, focused on delivering audience insights and building audiences for targeting. Ensure proper product management and prioritization of work based on brand needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with brand, media, and retail media teams and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on audience strategies and activation plans.
- Audience Identification & Strategy: Partner with the Audience Insights team to identify key audience segments needed across different platforms and develop effective targeting strategies.
- Performance Measurement & Optimization: Establish clear KPIs and reporting frameworks to track the effectiveness of audience activation strategies, analyzing campaign performance and identifying areas for optimization.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in audience activation, data science, and digital marketing.
- Data Operations: Responsible for understanding how data flows through Loreal ecosystem, and ability to work cross-functionally with IT teams to onboard data, in partnership with the Agency Ops Team.
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience
- Primary experience in audience development, data driven marketing, digital marketing, data operations
- Expert knowledge and skill with data, data management, data activation and consumer insights
- A thorough understanding of 1P, 2P, 3P data landscape and how it can drive marketing strategy
- Knowledge of identity resolution, clean-room and mar-tech industry (ie. Liveramp, , GMP, AMC, CDPs, DMPs, DSPs, Data Onboarding, etc.)
- Works well with agencies and IT teams to design and implement our data ecosystem
- Ability to lead presentations and effectively analyze and translate data into actionable business plans
- Highly collaborative across different stakeholders in a matrixed environment
- Organized, structured, analytical and logical; strong problem-solving skill
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a large, highly matrixed, enterprise with competing priorities across reams
- Experience in consumer goods or beauty
- Product Management experience (Agile, DevOps, etc)
