Mission:

The Brand Activation (BAL) team owns the retailer activation strategy and develops standardized Go-To-Market materials to translate the Garnier Hair Care national brand vision to the retailers. The BAL team serves as the critical bridge between Brand Marketing and the Account teams, providing input to both to ensure alignment and maximize brand impact.

Core Responsibilities:

  • GTM Strategy & Activation Planning: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute Garnier Hair Care’s national GTM strategy, and national activation calendar.
  • New Item Meetings & Line Review Presentations: Develop brand elements for new item meetings and lead line review presentations showcasing new product launches and activation plans.
  • Manage the national promotional strategy in partnership with the Consumer Promotion team and Account teams, analyzing and optimizing plans as needed throughout the year.
  • Promo Pack/Holiday Execution: Manage the development and execution of promotional/banded packs, and seasonal/holiday kits to drive consumer engagement and sales.
  • Sales Analytics & Account Strategy: Analyze sales data, identify key trends and opportunities, and develop account-specific strategies to optimize sell-out and market share growth.
  • Brand & Customer Voice: Serve as the primary voice of Garnier Hair Care and retailers, advocating for and finding synergies with the priorities of both.
  • Customer Marketing Support: Provide support to Customer Marketing, fulfilling their needs from the brand perspective and ensuring consistent brand messaging across customer activations.
  • Retailer Tentpole Planning and Execution: Develop and execute targeted activation plans to maximize Garnier Hair Care’s presence and impact during key retailer tentpole moments.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively cross-category (Skin, Color, etc.) and across other cross-functional teams, including but not limited to, Brand Engagement, Creative, Demand Planning, Commercial Planning, Consumer Promotions, Finance and Media teams to leverage resources and ensure alignment on key initiatives.

Provide Input to:

  • Customer Marketing: Support Customer Marketing by providing brand assets, insights, and strategic guidance.
  • Merch Ops: Collaborate closely to ensure seamless execution of permanent merchandising placements and in-store displays.
  • Brand Marketing: Provide feedback on account-specific needs and opportunities, as well as input on sales forecasting based on market analysis and account performance.
