  • Work closely with marketing and other partners on defining brand innovation strategy to meet target consumer needs and develop new launches
  • Stay updated on consumer, market and competition understanding and propose insights to support makeup lip business growth
  • Supervise lab operations to ensure the prompt availability of products for business that are of good quality, safe and effective, suitable for mass production, in line with the brand/category innovation strategy. Ensure launch commitments are met with regard to lead time and cost 
  • Manage lab operations by optimizing resources, define and respect launch conditions, coordinate activities with enabling departments in China and abroad, issue updates on any risks
  • Ensure the safety of people/assets and compliance with quality procedures
  • Recruit, develop and manage the team. Ensure the development of know-how and expertise and contribute to 

  • MS or PhD degree in chemistry, engineering or related scientific field
  • 6+ years’ experience in personal care formulation/product development ideally years of experience in make-up/color cosmetics
  • 2+ years’ experience in people management 
  • Familiar with beauty products beyond formulation is a plus 
  • Excellent interpersonal/communications and presentation skills in English
  • Acts / Leads with human sensitivity 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit 
  • Ability to lead, influence, create in a cross-functional and cross-cultural environment to ensure collective performance 
  • Ability to manage complexity
