We are seeking a Production Shift Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a key role in managing our packaging department, driving operational excellence, and upholding L'Oréal's commitment to sustainability (L'Oréal for the Future).
What You'll Do:
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and inspire a team of supervisors and operators, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and execute departmental goals that align with the plant's overall operational strategy and L'Oréal's packaging policy.
- Champion L'Oréal's sustainability initiatives (L'Oréal for the Future) within your team and operations.
- Production Optimization:
- Ensure daily production targets are met consistently while maintaining optimal Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Manage the efficient deployment of manpower, raw materials, packaging components, and machinery to maximize productivity.
- Oversee changeover processes, ensuring adherence to standard times and thorough line start-up inspections.
- Quality & Safety Champion:
- Enforce strict compliance with all safety, hygiene, and quality regulations, promptly addressing deviations and escalating concerns.
- Ensure accurate and timely data capture for production metrics, surveillance documents, and non-conformance reports.
- Lead root-cause analyses for production issues, implement corrective actions, and champion continuous improvement projects.
- Collaboration & Development:
- Work cross-functionally with teams such as Development, Planning, and Quality to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
- Develop your team members' skills and knowledge through coaching, mentoring, and tailored training opportunities.
- Actively participate in plant management committees, providing insights and contributing to strategic decision-making.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Education & Experience:
- B-Degree in Operations, Chemical, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a production/manufacturing environment, ideally within the consumer goods industry.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams, managing quality systems, and overseeing projects.
- Technical & Professional Skills:
- Deep understanding of production processes, quality systems (e.g., GMP), and EHS standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant production/ERP systems.
