L'Oréal UKI Finance –  Operations Controller

You Will:

Be responsible for supporting Operations to deliver the budgeted Physical Distribution, Inbound and Logistics targets. The Operations Controller will act as a business partner to support the Operations Team through the full financial cycle of budget management, trends and month end, utilising systems such as SAP, Compass and Compass supply chain to provide insight and challenge. Be expected to uphold a strong focus on internal controls. Gain oversight and support Operations with projects and investments. Be a pro-active member of the Operations and Finance communities. Manage the activities of the Operations Assistant Controller and be willing to travel to the operating sites across UK&I.

The following are a identified list of requirements for this role:

Manage the Operations plan from a budget and trend perspective, with particular focus on Physical Distribution and Inbound targets.
Prepare, review and present monthly reporting to Divisional & Corporate Management as well as to Head Office in Paris. Expected to challenge stakeholders whilst anticipating risk and opportunities with targets in mind.
Effectively business partner across all key business areas.
Drive the systems agenda for Operations finance to add efficiency and insight for the team and stakeholders. 
Be an active member of the Operations and Finance communities. Drive implementation of the strategy and provide controlling and economic expertise.
Be a finance lead to track and support transformational projects & investments
Ensure controls are maintained in line with L'Oréal's group standards and support with year end external audit.
Contribute to the improvement of internal control practices. Follow-up and contribute to the implementation of internal audit action plans.
Help to lead, motivate and inspire the Operations finance team, with direct management of the Assistant Operations Controller.
Be expected to travel (est. 1 visit per month) to the operating sites across UK&I to work closely and partner with Operations management team.

You Have: 

Degree Qualification
Excellent analytical skills
Outstanding rigour and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills are essential as the role involves close liaison with Operations and Finance management
The candidate should have to be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
Experience preferably within a consumer driven and fast past sales environment
Highly organised with prioritisation skills and strong communication skills  (written and verbal)
Highly numerate – strong analytically and good commercial acumen
Strong presentation/communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire
Financial knowledge and experience in managing a P&L
System knowledge and experience using SAP & Compass
Strong organisational skills
Ability to work in an ever changing & demanding environment
