KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Manager of Social Media will play an instrumental role in the strategy, execution and optimization of CeraVe’s presence across paid and organic social media. This role will be responsible for content strategy and asset development, calendar management, paid campaign setup and ongoing reporting and analysis to inform future programs.

 

The Social Media Manager is an expert on social platforms, emerging trends and reporting on metrics related to overall social amplification. They should have an eye on the marketplace and an understanding of social content that resonates in the US. Their goal is to create a strategy focused on driving consumer engagement across touchpoints to generate awareness, brand love and loyalty.

 

This role will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and work collaboratively with the marketing and media teams, as well as cross-functionally with other key brand stakeholders as well as external teams (global/DMI, CDMO, agencies, creative partners, etc.)

 

ORGANIC SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Identify whitespace opportunities to elevate strategy & define distinct roles for content on each social platform to build brand equity
  • Manage agency focused on social strategy and community management
  • Organize social content calendar & feedback against US business objectives, while ensuring that all product claims are legally compliant
  • Liaise with community management agency, CCC, labs, legal and marketing to generate approved responses to customer service inquiries
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams (including but not limited to Media, PR/Influencer, Marketing and DMI teams)
  • Oversee brand community engagement across channels
  • Maintain livestream calendar; brief dermatologists on brand taking points and best practices
  • Spearhead the brand’s organic strategy and entry into additional channels (TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube)

 

PAID SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Lead implementation of creative and build campaigns in social media platforms (Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok)
  • Manage day-to-day flow of social media performance including pacing, monitoring KPIs, and troubleshooting within each respective self-service ads platform
  • Create Excel workbooks to organize campaign performance data and provide actionable insights as well as pull insights from existing data visualization tools (DOMO)
  • Ensure campaigns launch on time across all tactics and partners
  • Take ownership of deliverables, manages campaigns independently, and effectively prioritizes to deliver strong results
  • Ensure corporate golden rules and creative mandatories are adhered to across all campaigns
  • Be at the forefront of what is happening in the space and propose first-to-market programs

 

DIGITAL CONTENT

  • Day-to-day contact for creative partners for content development, delivery and asset management (OPERA)
  • Develop consumer-centric content, partnering with production companies and internal stakeholders to enhance the brand’s presence on social and eRetail channels
  • Create content to animate non-launch/in-market products
  • Craft owned content storytelling concepts for "always on" programs, advocacy initiatives, tentpole events and in-store/eRetail moments in partnership with key stakeholders from cross-functional teams
  • Understand the brand’s unique medical positioning and stay true to brand equity through all digital and social content

REPORTING & ANALYSIS

  • Establish, track, and report on KPIs across paid & organic tactics per social platform
  • Perform competitive analysis and social listening to identify skincare trends and consumer need gaps
  • Ensure strategy, content creation and community management are constantly reviewed based on findings

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in communications, marketing or business.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Social Media & Content Development for a brand (in-house or agency)
  • Skincare experience and interest in fields related to health, beauty and dermatology strongly preferred
  • Self-starter able to adapt quickly to changes in priorities and multi-task multiple projects.
  • Able to prioritize and manage time effectively, and to balance competing demands and priorities in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Professional and diplomatic style with a positive manner, attention to detail and a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Excellent written skills. Ability to write in a medical tone of voice preferred.
  • KPI reporting/analysis experience required.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and work with business partners on innovations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Photoshop a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency on Instagram, Facebook, Facebook Ad Manager, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat and YouTube required.
  • Proficiency in social-media management platforms a plus (Sprinklr, Trackrr, Netbase etc…)
