POSITION TITLE:  Director – Supply Chain Data Analytics

DEPARTMENT: Corporate Supply Chain

POSITION PURPOSE:

L’Oreal is creating a data-driven competitive advantage through solid foundations and use cases at scale. Analytics is a key enabler of this transformation.

As a member of the Corporate Supply Chain Data Science and Analytics Team, this role will support the long-term strategy, direction and vision of our End-to-End Supply Chain Team by leading a Product team to develop and implement business solution tools that create actionable insights and encourage a data given culture. This role will partner with stakeholders to focus analytics efforts on key business objectives to drive decisions at all levels of the Supply Chain organization and L’Oreal Leadership teams. You will play a key role in the multi-year transversal Supply Chain transformation to improve performance of Supply Chain across North America.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Lead a cross-functional Product team comprised of 5-10 business and IT full time resources. Set priorities for the team in Sprint meetings, engage with the team during Agile ceremonies (Sprint Review, Backlog Sessions, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Retrospectives, Monthly Steering Committee, and Demos), and address any areas required for the team to operate effectively and meet their targets.

Facilitate the Use Case roadmap creation and prioritization review processes with stakeholders based on the strategic needs of the business. This includes scoping new Use Case requests and identifying new Use Cases based on areas of opportunity within the business.

Accountable to manage and deliver ROI for $500k - $1m annual IT spend.

Ensure resources are aligned to deliver the Roadmap Use Cases including adjusting 3rd party resources levels to balance needs of projects and the Product budget.

Run the Quarterly Review to provide stakeholders with an update on roadmap deliverables, tool adoption, communicate on analytics projects across L’Oreal, and receive feedback.

Represent the Supply Chain analytics function in working with the DGO, IT, Global Data Domains, and other groups working on large scale transformational projects.

Support ongoing and future Next Generation Data Science Initiatives for Supply Chain thru Product Team. MEIO, Scenario Planning, APS, DC Automation, Machine Learning and AI.

Track key Product team metrics such as tool adoption and Simplicity hours saved by the elimination of manual reports.

Set best practices and coach team members on the analytics design process including collaboratively working with groups to harmonize metrics, creating sustainable datasets, developing visualization to drive insights, and aligning developments to business processes.

 

What We Are Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in business related field, preferably Supply Chain or Information Systems

10+ years Supply Chain experience preferably in CPG industry

Extensive experience and knowledge in Supply Chain operations and analytics.

Interact effectively with Stakeholders, including strong negotiation and influencing skills

Manage a diverse team in multiple off-site locations.

Effective in motivating and developing talent

Excellent communication skills.  Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
