What You Will Do:
Lead the Education Development Design team to design and develop innovative results-oriented seasonal and Core Education programs for Beauty Advisors, Business Managers and Field Sales and Education to include reader’s guides, workbooks, collateral and audio-visual programs.
Job Duties and Accountabilities:
- Design and develop education programs based on needs analysis/direction of senior management and end-users. Present recommendations to Vice President, Education
- Ensure contents of existing and new education programs coincide with company objectives, i.e. change in product positioning, focus products, price increases, product name/description changes, selling strategies, etc.
- Participate in Marketing/Education meetings for awareness of product and program launches, line extensions, product positioning updates, etc.
- Conduct task force meetings with field sales, education and beauty representatives to develop the selling and motivational strategies for new and existing Education Programs.
- Participate in turnover meetings with Education, Purchasing and Corporate Design on design and production of Education materials.
- Determine priority areas for development of direct report and recommend solutions.
- Develop and conduct presentations for new Education Programs and Professional Development Skills for bi-annual Education Planning Meeting
- Direct and participate in presentation of Education Programs: Sales Discovery, Lancôme Discovery, Consumer Affairs, Company Store and New York Office staff
- Participate in Sales Meeting presentations as requested
Key Challenges, Issues and Complexity(Formerly Judgement & Decision-making section)
- Determine areas of strength and opportunities of direct reports
- Conduct focus groups to assess success of training programs
- Hiring of Educational Development team
- Moderate supervision required for this position
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 5 years experience in Retail Sales and Sales Training
- Excellent instructional design skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Proven track record in developing innovative results-driven educational programs
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe)
