What You Will Do: 

Strategize, develop, and execute strategic plans for your account, ensuring market leadership and sustainable, profitable growth. As the VP Commercial, you will own the P&L and act as the voice of the customer internally, delivering added value through category development, brand experience, and a customer-centric approach. Collaboration with brand leadership, marketing, and cross-functional partners is essential to maximize the performance of L'Oréal Luxe brands within the account. 

  • Responsible for cultivating and strengthening strategic retailer relationship between account and L'Oreal Luxe
  • Responsible for the Account P&L, working closely with brand teams and direct reports to achieve financial targets and drive sustainable growth. Analyze performance data and identify opportunities to improve profitability and deliver commercial KPIs.
  • Build short and long term vision for the account through annual planing, 3-year strategic planning, and developing JBPs, incorporating brand insights, stakeholder inputs, and long-term objectives.
  • Lead negotiations on all aspects of the business, including contracts, margin, space and location, new brand launches, promotions, and product assortment.
  • Responsible for delivering monthly retail sales and net sales for their account across via stock and sales plans based on trade spend activities and account activations.
  • Oversee trade spend management, including markdowns, return authorizations, and other gross-to-net activities (i.e. management of DIFs/TIFs) for each account.  Ensure compliance with company policies, analyze trade spend effectiveness, and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at the national account, including top-to-top engagement. 
  • Conduct regular touchpoints and relationship management both internally and externally to address challenges and opportunities proactively, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Shape and execute the account strategy by synthesizing insights across BUs and brands. Align short-term priorities with long-term goals to deliver both immediate and sustained business results.
  • Lead and coordinate the online and offline commercial plan into a targeted activation plans for the account in collaboration across marketing/digital, BUs, and brand teams. Lead account teams that are responsible for activation execution (e.g., Account Managers, eRetail) 
  • Partner with category management teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of category dynamics, optimize product placement within the retailer, and foster a shopper-centric approach.
  • Drive the supply chain agenda in partnership with customer care, ensuring efficient operations and inventory management for the account.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to monitor account performance, refine strategies, and optimize results. Regularly review sales, market share, and category performance to inform decisions.
  • Foster a culture of agility and quick decision-making, ensuring the team can adapt to dynamic market conditions.
  • Invest in team development, building a strong pipeline of future leaders and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.

What We Are Looking For: 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, JBP, leading strategic negotiations, and synthesizing category insights into actionable strategies. Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools, sales forecasting systems. Strong financial acumen and experience managing trade spend.
  • Expertise in omni-channel dynamics, digital commerce, and leveraging online activation levers for growth.
  • Ability to travel for senior-level account meetings

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Exceptional ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence multi-stakeholder decision-making processes.

  • Salary Range: $172,400-$250,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
