Key Responsibilities:
End-to-End Packaging Development & Technical Consultation:
Lead end-to-end packaging development projects for new product launches and existing product renovations
Act as a primary technical expert with Development teams to gain clear project definitions and proactively provide optimal technical advice (e.g., through mock-ups, drawings, and dedicated meetings) throughout the entire product development process.
Requirements Gathering, Design & Risk Management:
Assemble all technical, industrial, economic, and normative requirements (including legislative, internal procedures, freedom to use, and insights from suppliers and plants) essential for design purposes and informed technical decision-making.
Conduct comprehensive risk analysis at various stages, including early concept, design validation, and manufacturing feasibility.
Collaborate closely with the Technical Design Center to translate design, functionality, and consumer needs into precise technical drawings until conception validation.
Partner with the Qualification team to manage all Contractual Specifications (CDC) approval processes and conduct compatibility testing, defining necessary actions and ensuring packaging integrity.
Work with Production Line Optimization/Engineering (POLE) teams in manufacturing plants to conduct filling and packing risk analysis, feasibility checks, and validation, ensuring smooth industrialization.
Support Industry Quality and Production teams by following up on the first production runs of new packaging conceptions, analyzing authorization comments, and addressing consumer complaints.
Documentation & Quality System Adherence:
Define, issue, and continuously update technical drawings, pre-specifications, homologation reports, and final specifications throughout the entire product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with product definitions and strict adherence to the Packaging Conception Quality System (SQCP). Record and achieve relative technical doc for further project transferability.
Consumer Insights & Innovation Integration:
Utilize fast prototyping and product evaluation processes in early stages to effectively integrate consumer insights into packaging conception, ensuring consumer-centric designs.
Work closely with Advanced Packaging Engineering, ensuring early involvement for proactive risk analysis and conception optimization to enhance transformation rates and implement cutting-edge solutions.
Participate in technical surveys for new materials/components and conduct competitor surveys to stay ahead of industry trends.
Supplier Collaboration & Project Optimization:
Negotiate and coordinate technical requirements between suppliers and plants, reviewing conceptions, validating technical choices, and ensuring mold development timelines align with product development schedules.
Work mainly with Sourcing Centers, Development, and Plants on new launch and value analysis projects, proactively proposing optimization suggestions for functionality, quality, and productivity.
Project Monitoring & Performance:
Monitor and provide timely warnings for any potential or known scheduling risks or deviations related to primary packaging (PM) and finished goods (FG).
Fulfill activity indicators related to assigned projects, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
